Rosacea emergency help!

I have rashes on both cheeks and developed a flaking sunburnt-looking forehead over the last week. I've made an appointment with the GP (on the phone in 10 days...sigh) but would appreciate recommendations to help me leave the house this weekend!

I don't normally wear any make-up or moisturiser as my skin usually looks ok. I imagine I would be quite sensitive to a lot of products as when I have tried different moisturisers - after recommendations on here - I have broken out in little spots and my skin has felt quite greasy. Nivea, Cerave, etc., hence why I have left well alone. I'm really loathe to spend money on toners, primers as I don't know what I am doing and don't want to waste my money or time with the trail and error.

Can anyone recommend a moisturiser/cream that would calm help my forehead and a foundation that I could use on my cheeks (and the rest of my face!) to cover up the redness to see me through the next few days before I speak to the GP and am cured (!)?

The Eborian CC correct is fabulous. It’s worth having a look at Sali Hughes post & how it covered her redness

This isn’t what you’re asking for, but it may be helpful. I switched to the oil cleansing method and doing oat scrubs (literally grind dry oats, make a paste, apply to face for 5-10 minutes, wash off). I didn’t need to use anything else.

As for the rosacea, it was mostly stress/diet/alcohol related, because one I sorted that (it took time), it just vanished and I haven’t had any in 10 years now.

Thanks for the recommendations.

Interesting what you say about diet/alcohol related as I've looked at the triggers and avoid most of them and I don't drink. I have always blushed though and it seems that this has got worse over the years - the calming down of the flushedness after blushing. It's not even in stressful or embarrassing situations, just any social situations.

This works well at colour correcting. It's not a foundation or tint though.

This is also very good at colour correcting and is works as a skin tint.

Just came on to recommend this product! Made a huge difference to me.

Thanks. I hope that was for the Erborian, as I've ordered it.

Any recommendations for a moisturiser for my flaking forehead?

Out of the two I suggested I think Erborian is the better choice for what you need. It's a really nice CC cream and corrects red areas brilliantly.

You can get it in a larger size also but that's more expensive at around £40.
