What to do for 6 year old boy's home party?

I've a separate thread running for about birthday parties but it got me thinking: we might do a small (4 friends) party for my soon to be 6 year old DS. I'm not sure though what party activities to do? It's easier for my DD as she and her friends like crafts and Taylor Swift so that's sorted for ideas. Our living room/dining room are quite small so can't be too big of a set up. DS constantly worries about not being cool amongst his peers so I am particularly worried about his one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! His friends are quite boisterous and lively (DS isn't but will go with the flow). So far only have pass the parcel as an idea 😅

A piñata? Craft type activity like those dinosaur eggs you have to smash to get the figure? Split into two teams and do a junk modelling or Lego challenge- something like make the tallest tower that can support an egg?
you can get glitter tattoo kits with all sorts of stencils. Play Pictionary if you have a whiteboard?
Decorate a cupcake to take home.

depends on budget but nephews have had a gaming bus parked up outside that has 4-6 consoles to play out of the house - you mentioned boisterous (!)
For house party games, a variation of pin the tail/hat/football on the dinosaur/supermario/football pitch, musical statues (also known as red light green light)?
sandwiches universally scorned except for the jam ones.
hope he has a lovely day!

Bless him, worrying about being cool.

Do you have Nerf guns, or could borrow a couple? You could try having a game of shooting a stack of empty yoghurt pots or tin cans, or aim for a paper target hanging from a tree outside (but not each other...).

Design a treasure hunt around the house or any outside space you have.

Another vote for decorating a cupcake, or cookies.

What is your budget?

I don’t think I’d be brave enough to have it at home especially if space is limited. Could you do bowling or cinema followed by McDonald’s with a few friends?

If not I’d organise lots of games: pass the parcel, musical statues/ chairs with prizes, pin the tail on the donkey, piñata, box with objects in and they have to guess what they are, donuts hung from a stick and they have to eat them without touching them.

Id get some temp tattoos or face paint for them and some sort of craft idea (boxes/ bottles and they can make dens/ rockets etc or them cardboard houses you can buy for about £10 from hobbycraft and you decorate them).

If the weathers likely to be a bit warmer I’d probably get a bouncy castle and scrap the craft idea, just do the games.

Nerf guns and build a pizza/sundae party?
