I don’t know where to post this.
i am in a desperate situation.
my children’s dad I’ve found out is now on crack.
social services are aware he is a substance misuser but not crack and despite his behaviour turning up at school, drunken behaviour outside my house etc. policr calls. They won’t get involved.
any social workers or social care professionals please feel free to advise or any parents who’ve sadly experienced this.
id like a friend to make an anon referral.
i can’t do do this anymore it’s breaking me down.
i would not like to tell social services myself incase it’s disclosed to his family they are very nasty people. If so I am the main care giver what would they do with the other parent on a drug like crack? I have asked for help with this. But they’ve told me to go to family courts. I’d like a contact centre. I was hoping for a plan. Hes gone to the school a few times now. When he’s drinking I amin fear. I am getting a MARAC but I feel that a non molestation won’t be enough.
…. for the children I’d like them involved. A family contact centre because of the addict lifestyle. Thank you

Which is the part you "can't do anymore"? You say social care won't get involved but they will only do this if there is risk for your children. Your post doesn't make clear what this looks like - eg. Do they have unsupervised contact with him whilst he's on crack? If you are worried about his drug use and behaviour then you're within your rights to prevent contact and do what you need to do to protect the children.

I'm sure from what you've posted that if you refer yourself to your local Early Help service in Children's Social Care they will be able to advise if there's anything they can do to support.

Where is he living? With you or away from the family? If he is living away from the family then SS wont get involved. They would expect you to be the protecting parent. If you don't think he can look after them safely when he sees them then you need to take it to court as a civil matter.
