Has anyone used Boxt for a new boiler?

It's currently 9 degrees in my kitchen. The bloody boiler is on the fritz again - no heating or hot water - so I think it's time to bite the bullet and invest in a new one.

We've been thinking about one of the 'all-in' deals where you get the boiler and maintenance, thermostat, etc etc (no thermostat here!) I've been warned off Brotish Gas as too pricey for what you get. Have heard good things about Boxt but would be good to hear from anyone who's been with them?

Also...the 10-year scheme - what happens if you move in that time? Do you just have to pay the remainder off (as I assume you can't exactly take the boiler with you!)

I know Elon musk is public enemy number 2 at the moment but you can't argue with how successful his businesses are so I can only assume his boilers would be uber efficient and reliable.

Sorry to hear how cold it is today for you. Get on to booking a new one in!!

Elon Musk? What?

Are you thinking of Boxabl?

I'm not giving a penny to that fascist so I'm hoping you've got mixed up!

Three years ago I went with Boxt after recommendations on Mumsnet threads.

All very efficient and easy.

The 10 year thing is the manufacturer's guarantee on the boiler, subject to you having it serviced annually. Boxt also do the annual service - it's about £90 pa.

Yes we did the 10 year scheme, fitted within a week and service every year. So far no other maintenance issues to see how they do but that's maybe a good thing. Taken away my anxiety I had over my old boiler randomly spewing liquids and not working.

@fromthevault are you me? We’re in identical situation. BG the jokes want £5.5k as we have a vertical flue (they installed). Heatable want £3.5k for the exact same thing with similar payment terms (plus a bit extra for roof but no way it will cost £2k).

You can do a full heatable quote online which is handy too

The OP is referring to the 10 year payment installment scheme where maintenance amd servicing is included as well as the boiler. Ours is £49 per month for a Worcester

We went with Boxt a couple of weeks ago and we also have their annual service. Very pleased with them.

Oh, OK. I didn't go with any credit scheme as assumed it would involve interest.

Omg please forgive my dyslexic brain. I had these two mixed up.
