Would you be happy with this hair?

Naturally curly hair in 1st pic. Previously dyed at home and grown out.
She wanted to go blonder, hairdresser talked about highlights and a balyage effect as the bottom of her hair is much lighter. And leaving the roots more natural so it 'grows out more naturally'
And adding more blonde around the face

It doesn't look that different to what she went in with to me?? Just softened a bit?
And was £110 (just the bleach and toner. No haircut)

It's a lot of money and it just looks to me like she's had a wash and blow?

I'm no expert on dye techniques bit to me it looks very different. Much, much more natural. Much classier. And I agree will blend better when the roots grow in.

Yes agree with the poster above. It looks so much better, it’s beautifully coloured in the second picture, it looks so natural.

Even if she said she wanted the natural bits to go much blonder? That was what she asked for? To go blonde? But with natural root line?

How blonde is it round her face as you said she asked for that part lighter ?

Savemefromwetdog · 03/03/2025 17:54

It looks fine. It’s very hard to fix home-dye jobs; she’s done well.

Fibrous · 03/03/2025 17:55

Looks a lot more blended to me.

WhineAndWine1 · 03/03/2025 17:55

It looks completely different. What were you expecting?

mathanxiety · 03/03/2025 17:56

I think photo 2 looks like a vast improvement.

Well worth the money.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 03/03/2025 17:57

I wouldn’t be happy with that either.

She’s just made the bottom part darker blonde. It still looks 50/50 with a clear line where the one colour stops and the other starts.

encroyable · 03/03/2025 17:57

I'd be really happy with that, it looks much nicer in the 2nd photo and like a professional job

alwaysdeleteyourcookies · 03/03/2025 17:58

She's done well. Can't be easy fixing home dye.

ItGhoul · 03/03/2025 17:59

It's much, much better blended and the tones are warmer and more natural in the second picture. It definitely doesn't look like she's just had a wash and blow dry!

HenDoNot · 03/03/2025 18:02

That’s much better (the second pic) and she has put some blonde around her face, you can see it.

It looks much healthier and classier.

stanleypops66 · 03/03/2025 18:03

It looks much better in the second. Looks like she has had it cut as it looks healthier. The

Stai · 03/03/2025 18:03

It looks so much better and exactly what the hairdresser said she was going to do. I’d be very happy with that, and it will reduce visits to the hairdresser so she’s done herself out of a bit of work!!

Iamthemoom · 03/03/2025 18:09

It looks SO much better, much more natural and yes blonder throughout rather than dark roots and a band of brassy blonde. It's not brassy now if that's what you mean, but it's definitely blonde. TBH I think the hairdresser has done a really good job fixing a previously pretty terrible job.

Not at all! My daughter was a bit unhappy with it, she's a teen and wanted more highlights. Things must have got lost in translation between them.
I posted this to gauge people's views and showed her and she wasn't happy with me inclusing photos. She felt like she was recognisable (you could sort of see her face through her hair) and asked me to remove the photos.

But the comments are fair enough and probably accurate!

It is evened out a lot and I guess going blonde is a process and maybe next time it will be a little higher and lighter.

It's been a long time since I had anything done at a hairdressers apart from a 3 monthly trim so am obviously out of touch.
