Thick cut tiger bread, thickly spread lurpak on one slice and sauce spread on the other (ketchup for DS, brown for DP). Five crispy air fried fish fingers.

Get your orders in!

Mmm fish fingers added to my shopping list 😋 got to be cod & not those omega ones though

BeaAndBen · 02/03/2025 12:32

Soft roll, very generous amounts of tartar sauce. Shredded lettuce if you can be arsed, but I’m that delighted by having lunch made for me I will take it how it comes.

A wrap with three very crispy air fried chunky fingers on a bed of finely chopped fresh spinach and tartare sauce. Lush. Favourite lunch on a Saturday after shopping.

I'd choose a bread roll as keeps things more contained. Buttered bread, three fish fingers, luttiluce such as a little gem, mayonnaise with capers or chopped pickles in. Possibly one or two very thin slices of tomato.

Joystir59 · 02/03/2025 12:33

In thickly buttered wholemeal or sour dough bread with shredded lettuce and tartare sauce.

WickWood · 02/03/2025 12:34

Either thick white bread, loads of butter, brown sauce, salt, pepper and vinegar. Or thick white bread, loads of butter, gherkins and tartar sauce. Yum!

Soft bread roll, loads of butter, crispy fish fingers, iceberg lettuce, tartare sauce 😋

This is the one!

liveforsummer · 02/03/2025 12:36

I like them on a ciabatta with cheddar cheese, ice berg, avocado and mayo. Works on other bread types too but the cheese especially is essential. The rest takes it to next level l!

Mex style.
Bird's Eye Chunky battered fish fingers (2 each), avocado mash, salsa (out of a jar), chilli mayo, crunchy lettuce. On toasted Sourdough.

There is way to much butter on this thread. I don't like butter on any hot sandwich.

ghostyslovesheets · 02/03/2025 12:44

Had one yesterday for lunch

white floury bun
jumbo fish finger (Aldi are the best)
lettuce
slice of cheese
tartare sauce spread top and bottom

yummy

SiobhanSharpe · 02/03/2025 12:50

Butter is required on all sandwiches at Sharpe Towers.
For fishfingers — at least four best quality, grilled or fried, with peri-peri mayo, splash of Tabaso and a slice of melty cheese (awful but gooey and lovely nonetheless) on two thick slices of multiseed bread, toasted and of course buttered.

Redglitter · 02/03/2025 12:52

I know what I'm having for lunch now

Sierra26 · 02/03/2025 13:02

In a wrap, with mayo, capers, hot sauce and lettuce

SugarPlumpFairyCakes · 02/03/2025 13:03

Tartar sauce or sandwich spread. Very lightly toasted bread. 😋

EnjoythemoneyJane · 02/03/2025 13:04

Very fresh bread cut from a loaf, mashed avocado with lots of lemon on one slice (yeah, I know, sorry) & loads of tartare sauce on the other, battered haddock fish fingers in the middle so the whole thing goes a little bit squishy. Food of the gods.

Or if I don’t have avocado, it’ll be ketchup on one slice and tartare on the other, fish in between, because I’m basically a monster.

Not as much of one as your DP, though, OP. I know the avocado thing does put me in an awkward spot here but really - who the hell has brown sauce on fish fingers?!

Agree, I love butter but it has no place in hot sandwiches where it just melts and makes everything oily, so never any in sausage, bacon or fish finger sandwiches they are fatty enough as it is.

Thick soft white bread, ketchup on one slice tartare sauce on the other, crispy crumbed fish fingers, not battered ones.

CurlewKate · 02/03/2025 13:05

Tartare sauce and black pepper please. No butter-I'm not a barbarian. Butter is for sausage sandwiches.

Plump82 · 02/03/2025 13:15

Ciabatta roll, lightly toasted. Garlic mayo with plastic cheese and sliced gherkins.

How do you manage to 'grip' the sausages in the (buttered) sandwich so that they don't shoot out of it when you bite into the sandwich? I really would like to know... Grin

Floralnomad · 02/03/2025 11:34

Bread , butter , mayo , fish fingers ( prefer haddock ones ) .

Same, other than I'm not fussed about the type of fish finger!

Uricon2 · 02/03/2025 14:31

I'm going to go off piste and say those sandwich thins with as many haddock FF as can be fitted, breaded or battered, salt and vinegar, Heinz salad cream or HP. I find the fish/bread ratio better but realise this is unorthodox!

aspidernamedfluffy · 02/03/2025 14:53

Bread, 3 FF, tartare sauce and a small rosti, please and thankyou.

ladymammalade · 02/03/2025 15:09

Omg I love a FFS.

I like seeded bread, fish fingers grilled with added melted cheese on top, then tartar sauce and mixed leaves. Yum 😋
