In the words of Victor Meldrew and said in exactly the same tone of voice - I don't belieeeeeeeve it!

Vernon is playing that Elkie Brooks song from her piano room session AGAIN. I reckon it has been played eleventy thousand times across his show, Jo Wiley, Scott Mills and probably everyone else's show as well.

Why is it on AGAIN? And the interview? And the Happy Birthday. I feel like I'm in some sort of time warp.

I feel the same. The same old stuff rehashed a thousand times. And don't get me started on Traitors. I have never seen it nor do I ever want to and every bloody time I turned the radio on they were talking about it - the previous night's episode and even when it was finished they had to do a PM into why that person won.

I don't enjoy Vernon and his sunsheeeeine and cash register nor do I like Scot Mills' show - just fine ir uninteresting and the travel woman seems to want to be in everything, not just her reports.

Never thought I'd miss Zoe!

I was listening to Scott this morning (don't often) and it struck me that, as a radio show, it couldn't be less like Terry Wogan if it tried. I'm not suggesting a return to the good old days, but do we actually want breakfast radio to be so loud and in your face? Don't we want a civilised launch into the day?

But currently, my big bugbear is the repetition. It has leached into everything R2 does. Glastonbury, Children In Need, Strictly Come Dancing, Party In The Park, Eurovision - when those events are on they get mentioned every link for about a month each. It's maddening.
