Can someone help me work this out please. I'm trying to work out the calories and fat in a yop for the full bottle.. the bottle has 825g the fat is 0.8 per 100g and the calories are 66cals per 100g how much would the total be for the whole 825g?

OP posts:
ChaoticGremlin · 27/02/2025 17:24

For the entire 825g bottle of Yop, there would be approximately 6.6g of fat and 2,293.5 calories.
According to ChatGBT

BansheeOfTheSouth · 27/02/2025 17:25

Multiple the 100g values by 8.25

AlisonDonut · 27/02/2025 17:26

Just times the thing by 8.25. So 8.25 x 0.8 gets you the fat and 8.25 x 278 gets you the calories.

@ChaoticGremlin I'm really sorry I wrote the energy by accident the cals are 66cal per 100g

I divided by 100 then multiplied by 825. Always trying to make life more complicated

dementedpixie · 27/02/2025 17:27

Multiply each value for fat and calories by 8.25 (825/100)
0.8 x 8.25 = 6.6
278 x 8.25 = 2293.5

Multiply both figures per 100ml by 8.25.

Fat - 0.8 x 8.25 = 6.6 grams
Calories - 66 x 8.25 = 544.5 cals

dementedpixie · 27/02/2025 17:29

So it's be 66 x 8.25 then = 544.5

Sorry i have another question. I have salmon that says it has 14.6 grams of fat per 100g but I have 110g so how many grams of fat would that be ?

Also the calories are 232 per 100g I have 110g so what would the calories be ?

I just want you add that i have learning difficulties that's why I can't do what would be to most people simple maths . It just doesn't sink in no matter how much it's explained .

I asked my son but no reply and I'm trying to write my fat/cal intake for my meal

OP posts:
AlisonDonut · 02/03/2025 19:38

14.6 x 1.1
232 x 1.1

Youagain2025 · 02/03/2025 19:40

AlisonDonut · 02/03/2025 19:38

14.6 x 1.1
232 x 1.1

Edited

I don't understand

Fat = 16.06g
Calories = 255.2

110 divided by 100 = 1.1
Multiply the values per 100g by 1.1 to get the answer for 110g

14.6 x 1.1 = 16.06
232 x 1.1 = 255.2

On a different note, you might be better just putting the weights into an app like My Fitness Pal, they calculate all this for you.

Be careful with MFP, there are a lot of mistakes.

But also, don't get too obsessed with calorie counting. Use your intuition and common sense. If it's raw food e..g salad, grains etc, then eat as much as you like. If it's very processed e.g. yop, eat only a little. If it's very processed and claiming it's low calories, then probably it's high chemicals
