It’s going to be one of those days isn’t it?

I remembered my bins about ten mins before they were collected. Ran out of bed, dressing gown on, dog woke up and lazily followed me as I raced to get the bins onto the footpath. They were collected, yay, result!

Celebratory coffee for me ☕😅😅. Gotta celebrate the small wins.

Pleasetelllmeitgetsbetter · 27/02/2025 07:33

I hear you! How old are they?

Pyjamatimenow · 27/02/2025 07:33

My 4 year old was up from 2 an until 5. I am on my knees with exhaustion tbh

GroggyLegs · 27/02/2025 07:34

Oh no!
How old?
Will they be going to school/nursery or are they with you today?

If the latter, make sure you get out of the house today!

MorningBrew · 27/02/2025 07:51

Mine is still sleeping...
I let him as it's very unusual (especially as it's bin day here too and they are not quiet!) but better wake him up now... Dreading the rush in the next half an hour...

Caspianberg · 27/02/2025 07:59

Yes it’s been a long day and it’s not even 9am. Ds woke around 11pm with a stomach ache, then woke hourly until 5am when he was up. No nursery for him today. He’s already watched a whole despicable me Movie, whilst I started work emails at 5am seeing as I won’t get much done today.

Dpd arrived at 7.30am with a greenhouse delivery I ordered. Had to move boxes somewhere dry until I get time to open ( it’s like a half size lean to one, not too huge). Was still in pjs.

One is four and one is nearly 20 months. It’s a trying time!

I honestly think back to when I only had the eldest child and wonder how I found THAT difficult!

Just keep telling yourself this phase won't last forever (eventually you'll have teenagers and wish you could have this phase back 🫣💐)

supermarketmustbefreed · 27/02/2025 08:33

I won’t! 😬

I feel your pain.

It’s when you think it must be nearly lunchtime and it’s only 9:30.

Alalalala · 27/02/2025 08:41

Oh god, I remember those days all too well!

Coffees and solidarity to everyone.

rivalsbinge · 27/02/2025 08:41

I have a teenager having a strop like a 5 year old meltdown and making everyone late as there is no "foooooooddddd"

This is the 17 going on 5 year old who's been away at his girlfriend's house for 3 days comes back and expects a fridge full waiting for his arrival.

He's been told he doesn't get to dictate and strop about but here we are.

My next tactic is to point out how massively unattractive this is in front of his 18 year old girlfriend. Seeing him behave like a baby, personally want to tell her to run for the hills.

Whiskyfromsmallglasses · 27/02/2025 08:44

Well mine is 13 and being overly dramatic about a graze on his knee. He fell off his friends bike last night. This morning his school trousers are rubbing and how dare my Boots size medicine cupboard not have more than the standard size of plaster 🙄 so he is away to school with a square of toilet roll doubled over and taped to his leg with micropore tape!

I'm now enjoying my coffee and toast in peace since I'm off on the sick

CreationNat1on · 27/02/2025 09:24

Solidarity to all. My 15 Yr old had a nose of blackheads, one is pulsating and red and has morphed into an angry pimple, has been there a few months, I ld estimate at this stage. Spent €60 on acne products, forced him to use them this week. Cannot wait to see the effects.

Oooh I ld like to pop it, he won't let me.

Elmo230885 · 27/02/2025 10:17

Mine (DD 7 and DS 5) have been angels this morning. Both up and dressed before I got up. I made breakfast, DD then poured both a second breakfast. Both then went upstairs to brush their teeth. I drank my coffee in peace and logged on my work computer. I eventually went up to get dressed and checked on them. They were playing schools. Even went over to school a little early so they could run around the playground with friends.

Complete contrast to Monday, where we ran over to school, I hadn't brushed my hair and DS stood screaming in the middle of the playground because I had to tell him to let go of another child he was hugging who wanted to go into the classroom. At some point there was also cereal on the floor which it turned out had also splashed onto my laptop... found as I logged on late!

Swings and roundabouts!

Reallytiredme · 27/02/2025 10:22

Can I join in, I’ve had enough of mine all this week, they are 17 and 11 🤣🤣

LunaLove1 · 27/02/2025 10:26

I won’t lie I’m looking forward to half term being over.

HollyAnnLee · 27/02/2025 10:31

I feel you

I have 3
Boy aged 10
Boy aged 9
Girl 5 who's autistic
And boyyyyy am I stressed, boys absolutely despise eachtoher and was arguing over a single piece of passer this morning even though there's 100s of paper in the printer and in the 'craft box'
Daughter only eats specific things and it's driving me crazy both boys hate school and refuse to get out of bed each morning
