Do I change these ones myself? Agency are complete turnips!

So I’ve been contacting my agency for ages to let them know that my build in lights in kitchen, hallway and bathroom are slowly going off and can they please send someone to replace them. They sent someone last year, he came, wasn’t sure himself if you need to change the bulb or all unit. Left.
Few months later all the lights are gone since Tuesday evening. Called them yesterday again. Got connected to a person with a, I’m sorry to say that, very strong accent, who didn’t understand what I said - he just kept repeating that if I have no lights, no electricity, how to get it back, check the fuse box etc.
They have been incredibly unhelpful and I’m pissed off. Will call them again today but so tempted to just rip the out myself!

If you know how to change them then surely you just do it yourself? I wouldn't have thought this was a job for the agency.

That’s the thing, that I don’t know how to do it or if I should I?! There’s 15 of them together.

Surely changing lightbulbs is your job as a tenant?

YouTube is your friend.. they are fairly easy to replace if you can get help to reach.

Use the photo on something like google lens and add search video how to change these globes. They'll be a YouTube video, YouTube's great for how ro DIY things.

That looks like it’s a standard ceiling light fitting OP.

Potentially , the cover that goes round the light should ease off - you have to get your hands either side and pull it down gently. Our bathroom ones are like that. That will expose the light bulb fitting inside.

Probably a GU10 type bulb or similar. Otherwise you just need to release the bulb, you can do this with a bit of upward pressure onto the bulb to turn and release it or you can get little suction holders for this sort of bulb to help.

They're just light bulbs, you do that yourself - google how to do it if you don't know

Thanks everyone!

Thats what I needed to know, if I can and need to do them myself as I didn’t want to risk it and rip them off the ceiling and leaving a hole or something and damaging. Definitely will look it up.
