The other side of the story

There are a couple of threads on here at the moment where I'd LOVE to hear the other side of the story. I can imagine it only too well and I'd love to see the clearly biased and deluded OP taken down a few pegs.

Are there ever threads on here where the other party sees the original thread and posts their own thread in response?

Do Mumsnet allow them both to remain on the site?

Please feel free to add links to both threads. I'm in need of a bit of entertainment.

I once read a thread on here that I thought may have been written by one of my colleagues about me! The poster was complaining about one of her colleagues being off work sick for a prolonged period of time with stress. She gave enough details about the workplace and the sick colleague to make me wonder if it was about me. The posters opinion was that if the sick colleague could not handle the stress of the job then she should do everyone a favour and quit.

At the time I was off sick from work. The work environment was extremely toxic and I was being bullied relentlessly at work. I was suffering with stress.... but what my colleagues didn't know is that the reason I was too unwell to handle the work environment was that I had been the victim of a stranger rape, and was enduring a year long police investigation. It was the most stressful and difficult thing I had ever endured. I wasn't able to cope with the workplace bullying and toxicity at the same time. I eventually gave evidence at court and the rapist went to prison. I was so proud of myself for making it through that alive.
The way my colleagues treated me jeopardised my ability to give evidence in court and risked letting a serial sex offender loose on the streets to attack again. Stupid cows!

I was tempted to reply to the thread but it wasn't necessary. MNers picked up on her judgmental bitchy tone and suggested that perhaps she was a workplace bully and that she should mind her own business.

I will never know for sure if I'm right about that poster being one of my colleagues, but it does make me smile now! And I was really happy to see people responding, sticking up for the sick colleague!

Just shows, you never know what's going on for others.i can't stand people who set themselves up as the work police/suddenly health experts.
I'm sorry to read of your horrific ordeal op.i hope you receive help if it's what you require.

@mylovelyboycat that really is horrific. Did your employer know the specifics of your situation (I don't mean exact details, just the general idea about rape/court etc)? I'm hoping that they were supportive of you even if your colleagues were a nightmare.
