Hi, I'm after recommendations for Afternoon Tea places please - requirements are pretty, good location in London, suitable for adults and an 11 year old.

Thank you.

Can you include a desired price per person?

Claridges is hands down the best, but you need to book a long way in advance (I think about 3 months).
Shangri-la at the Shard is quite fun for kids, being on the 35th floor.
Fortnums is always reliable.
Also, the Swan at The Globe is nice, and a bit more informal.

The Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea at the Sanderson hotel gets good reviews.

I went to The Ritz last month and it was wonderful. Great for a tea with friends or your mum but definitely not for kids . I didn’t see any children at all .
The service was impeccable and rather formal which was to be expected, rather like going back in time for the day . It was more the experience for me , which my group of friends loved too .

The sanderson hotel is very nice. Took my daughter as a young child and they were great with her.

The Ampersand Hotel in South Kensington does a Science Afternoon Tea and now a Jurassic Park themed afternoon tea.
I have done both with my 10 year old son and we loved them. The hotel is very pretty and the afternoon tea is fun without be gimmicky. It also tastes incredible. Its around £50 a head. I would highly recommend looking it up.
We also tried the Peter Pan one at the Shard a little while ago, the view was great but we didn't enjoy the afternoon tea as much.

Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea at The Waldorf was lovely

@TommyShelbysRazor Oh thanks for that . It was a rushed day as we had left straight from a morning working and then onto the afternoon tea . I’m going to have a look at the children’s tea as it was a lovely experience, just happened to notice that there weren’t any children in the time I was there . 😊
