Best swimming caps for girls

Turning to the MN community for help again as I always found it very helpful.

My DD will be doing swimming lessons at school in the summer term. The lessons will happen late morning then they grt changed quickly and go back to school. No hair drying. All the swimming caps we had so far are rubbish, they don't keep the hair dry and most of the time slip off her head during lessons. Is there a magic swimming cap that can keep the hair (mostly) dry?

She's always cold as well as she's got underactive thyroid so I'm concerned having wet hair during the day will not help. The summer term isn't always warm here particularly late April, beginning of May.

Any advice would be welcome, thank you.

Is the cap slipping off because she has long hair? You can buy 'long hair' swimming caps if that is the case or look for one with a strap under the chin. I don't have a specific brand to recommend I'm afraid though.

She does have long hair but we tried a 'long hair' cap and got the same outcome. She'll have her hair cut soon too but I fear she'll still have the same issue.

I'll look for one with a strap. Would be interested to find out if they really work.

I have long hair and wear a normal swimming cap to swim regularly. They don't keep the hair dry - they're not intended to - but they do keep hair out of your face and out of the pool.

Is she tying her hair up first?
If it's slipping off then it's either too small or too big or not being put on properly in the first place. How old is she?

Could she take a hair turban to pop on after absorbing excess water with her towel, and leave on while she's getting dressed?

Swimming caps won't keep hair dry unfortunately. How about a hair wrap towel to get it mostly dry?

Swimming caps don't keep hair dry. Get it up in a bun before she goes so it's not wet on her back.

Thank you for your suggestions. She'll have a hair cut soon and then I'll make sure all hair is up so it doesn't go on her back, that's a good idea.

I find a plait easier than a bun as it site more evenly across the head
