Forget Easter eggs, here’s the Easter chair!

I know how MN loves a FB selling page. Here’s what appeared today on mine and all for £20! Happy (nearly) Easter all - and don’t forget to start decorating!

Daft idea, but there is quite a lot there for your twenty pounds. Is it ‘buyer collect’ or will the seller have to add postage as well? If so, can’t be much profit.

MrsMurphyIWish · 20/02/2025 14:31

Collection or delivery - any day, any time.

The can be personalised too.

I am wondering about the profit margin as well.

Interesting range of Easter gifts. Just a word of warning about that type of chair. I returned from Mat leave years ago to find that several old chairs in my EYFS classroom had been replaced with this type of plastic garden chair. I think by the young teacher on supply.
Raised my concerns with the Head re health and safety, suitability etc. They were always sliding away from children and frequently knocked over.
One day one was knocked over when a child dashed past and it broke into pieces including a really long sharp dagger like piece. Took this straight to the Head and said I wanted them out straight away.
I was then listened to and new chairs ordered.
May be ok supervised in a garden or quiet corner in the home?

KilkennyCats · 20/02/2025 14:47

Are the chairs definitely included, and not just used to display the stuff?
Who would think to buy their child a plastic chair for Easter?

Needmorelego · 20/02/2025 14:49

@24Dogcuddler When my daughter was about 2 I kicked one of those chairs out the way in a FFS moment many years ago and it bloke into pieces.
My daughter (now age 16) still reminds me of it every so often "remember when you broke my chair you evil horrible mother".
(she was safe and sat in her buggy before anyone gets worried)

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 20/02/2025 14:50

Looks like they have just used the chair to display?

Definitely advertised as an “Easter chair” which can be personalised and includes a range of Easter themed gifts.

Wow!

I’m just glad mine are older now. I could just imagine they would have wanted one 😂

Well it will soon be warm enough to sit outside. Little ones often like their own chair. I’d have definitely bought these for my dc and dgc.

I’m torn between “really? A chair to celebrate Easter?!” and (me when my DC were little), “aw, wouldn’t they be so happy to sit on a little chair and eat their Easter treats” 😂

These things always make me sad for some reason.

24Dogcuddler · 20/02/2025 15:06

@Needmorelego
Not just me having a flashback then!
Love to guilt trip you don’t they 😂

I have a few things like this on my local site. All seem to be posted by youngish women with kids. Imagine finding out someone posted it on mumsnet so a national audience could take the piss out of you.

It’s only possible to take the piss because they’re so irredeemably ridiculous 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not the person, nor the gifts. C’mon, you don’t find the idea of a chair being an Easter gift just the slightest bit amusing?

WhatFlavourIsIt · 20/02/2025 15:50

It's not about finding it amusing or not. I just think it's distasteful to take a screenshot from an individuals page and post it on a site as big as mumsnet for public ridicule.

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 20/02/2025 15:53

Is this an MLM scheme by any chance?

This is what I mean about making me sad. It's not to my taste but it's just someone trying to make a bit of money.

It is a bit odd though. Buying some bits from Poundland to then sell on. I can't imagine the profit makes it worth it 🤷
