Wondering if anyone had found good options for this, especially for the freezer?

Thanks for this. Many must be trying to avoid plastic, particularly in contact with food. Currently one method is to oil a plate, to freeze portions of food, then transfer the portions to what look like wax- paper bags, from 'If you care'. The sandwich bag size is fine for most things, and they also do a larger size intended for plastic- free roasting. For cramming into a freezer, it seems better to use paper bags which fit whatever size and shape the contents are .

Isn't Mumsnet great? Elsewhere, there's a thread on plastic-free kettles. We need to put the term 'plastic-free' into our searches, so manufacturers know we don't want it. It is completely avoidable, yet even organic food is contaminated by microplastic wrapping. A firm called 'Just Natural' is among those using what looks like soft plastic transparent bags for their produce, such as dried fruits, and yet it is plastic-free material. If they can do it,so can all the others.
