What age for Disneyland Paris?

What age were your DCs when you first went to Disneyland Paris?
Thinking of taking DC who is 4 later this year and never been on a plane or away from home for more than 2 days.
Is it too intense for a first holiday or should I just go all in and go for it?

First took ours at 6&3 and they both loved it. Been several times since. Just accept you can't do everything and you'll be knackered!

DD was four. We had three whole days there and easily filled every day. Some things we did more than once, but that's because we enjoyed them.

We went a good few years ago, but the buses were a nightmare, so many pushing and shoving to get on, no one caring if families got split up. We just walked along the river instead. We were in a hotel the furthest out, called Santa Fe at the time, but DD happily walked to get to the fun.

Four is fine for the plane. DD was so excited by her first flight at around 2.5 years and flatly refused sleep on the night flight as she wanted to enjoy.

We went when Dts were 5. It was October and bloody freezing. We drove and had three nights, the last day they didn't want to go into the park but stay at the hotel and go swimming instead. This was a few years ago, I don't know if it's better now but there were so many breakdowns.

I took my 2 year old who loved it. Still talks about it now!

Here now with my 5 and 3 year old, first came last year when 4 and 2. It’s a good age-we’ve done early flights to get half a day the first day, then stayed 3 nights and got a late night back so have 2 full days and 2 just over half days which I feel for us is about right. Personally if you can swing it I’d stay on site to avoid the buses, and take a buggy!

They were 3 and 8. Definitely not too intense but a lot of walking so consider taking a pushchair even if you normally don't use one.

about 7 or 8 would be ideal. They can go on most things but still young enough to find it magical. Mind you dd1 was 14 when we went and she still found it magical. I just remember loads of screaming tots there when I went. They were just tired and overwhelmed but it didn’t look like fun.

Thanks everyone, I think I’ll just go ahead and book!

Perfect age, should remember ot but be young enough to be totally entranced with the characters.

DC1 was 4 and DC2 was 4 months. DC1 had a brilliant time, very tiring and we needed a buggy. She found the fireworks too loud though, but she was also too tired to enjoy it by the end of the day. Still a great holiday, she was very used to UK theme parks though. We took the Eurostar as it was easier from London.

I've been seven times in the last few years. LOVE IT!
