Just that! Could use some inspiration.

I'm having cucumber sushi rolls, salmon and avocado sushi rolls with crispy onions (courtesy of sushi bar in Waitrose)

Homemade strawberry and pineapple fruit salad

Monster much

Anyone else? I'm WFH and normally have similar when in the office. But I love a good soup for lunch!

I made some soup with celery and celeriac. It's horrible, so now looking for something else.

My daughter did this soup once from a recipe book. Vile.
Added a shed load of fried onions and more cumin than you think you need and it turned out delicious.

I was meant to have cream cheese and tuna bagels at home but was unexpectedly out so had chicken skewers with salad and red wine.

GetMyAgentOnThePhone · 19/02/2025 14:14

Spinach soup (hm) and 2 rice cakes with chicken and kimchi.

Tomato & mozzarella salad with beetroot, lettuce, cucumber and a drizzle of basil oil, followed by two satsumas and two plums.

Basil oil? I've never heard of this but would love to try, where did you get it from please?

At work, i had Chipotle. A barbacoa quesadilla, fresh tomato salsa, sour cream and tortilla chips.

I never get bored of boasting work give us £12 pd to spend on Deliveroo for lunch, downside is i have put on weight.

BeansCounter · 19/02/2025 15:22

Tuna pasta with beetroot, gherkins and cherry tomatoes. I was starving so it was early

Gherkins are underrated. I then had more for a snack with ham, cheese and more beetroot.

Currently trying to lose a stone. Resisting the snack cupboard.

Copious amounts of coffee!

BeansCounter · 19/02/2025 15:23

@hairyunicorn what do you do? That's a generous lunch allowance!

Favouritefruits · 19/02/2025 15:25

M&S pre packed sandwich, having a new kitchen fitted so can’t cook! It’s given me terrible indigestion though 🫣

LadyMacbethssweetArabianhand · 19/02/2025 15:25

Homemade pea and ham soup and then smoked salmon on brown bread with a mustard dressing. Then salt and vinegar crisps.

Waitingfordaffs · 19/02/2025 15:26

Cheese on sourdough toast … and then a bit later… a kitkat

Milodon · 19/02/2025 15:29

I had a wholemeal pitta filled with salad and butter beans, some cucumber and some red grapes

I'm a Facilities Coordinator in the IT sector.
I agree it's generous, esp. as we also have a fully stocked kitchen with soft drinks, coffee, tea, toast, yogurts, chocolates, all the snacks you can imagine.

However, there is a campaign in the office to have it raised to £14:00per day as Deliveroo in London is ££. Mainly led by the sales team who are all on 100k + and could easily afford lunch.

Some people don't know they were born 🙄

Doggymummar · 19/02/2025 15:46

Tin of minestrone and a piece of bread

BeansCounter · 19/02/2025 15:48

@hairyunicorn jeezo! Yeah, not in London but that's an amazing benefit.

Anrom19 · 19/02/2025 15:49

Fish finger sandwich on white bread with too much butter . Delicious

God.

In my last job which was private sector and earned me £13 an hour we all had to take it into turns to buy tea coffee and milk out of our own pockets.

@MantleStatue but that sounds horrendously unfair. esp on £13ph...

ValentineValentineV · 19/02/2025 15:59

Big chunk of bread with olives in it, topped with mayonnaise , smoked salmon and cucumber.

Thick yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, mango and raspberries.

KimFan · 19/02/2025 16:04

I’ve had Norovirus so the first thing I’ve managed in 24 hours has just been a small glass of orange juice and a slice of dry bread 😔

Zippedydodah · 19/02/2025 16:10

Tabbouleh with chopped celery added, half a pice of flapjack and a handful of grapes.

CharSiu · 19/02/2025 16:18

Chuchoter · 19/02/2025 16:25

Small wrap sealed with a Crimpit and air fried. Filling was mushrooms, garlic, grated mozarella, dollop of mascarpone cheese, Mushroom and Truffle Pasta Sauce and spinach.

Ham, cheese and pickle sandwich with a cup of tea.

I feel so plebeian after reading all these!

My fave all time sandwich is a fresh baguette with ham, pickle, cucumber and some red onion 😋

although today I had some Greek salad and a few chippy chips! Random combo 😂 I had made the salad and then dc came home with chips so nabbed a few.
