Do charity shops take nightdresses?

I'm having a clear out. I've some bras to take to Oxfam (they take them) and I've a lovely cotton summer nightdress which I no longer wear - bit small.
I usually donate clothes to my local hospice shop.

Why wouldn't they?

Why wouldn't they?

For the same reasons that very few take bras (or knickers.)

Yes they take anything.

Anything not suitable for for sale is sold to be either exported for sale or to be made into rags

The one I volunteer in would take it but it would go in the rag bag as we do not sell nightwear/underwear. Others might have different policies.

Of course as long as it's in sellable condition and not soiled or dirty. The staff don't need to be wasting their time and money disposing of donor's trash. Anything ripped or fraying usually goes in to the rag bag.

I'd never donate anything soiled or dirty. 🙁

Our local Compton Hospice has a special rail which has bras, nighties, pyjamas, dressing gowns and unworn packs of tights.
