*your, not you
If your child is vegetarian and going to someone's house for a birthday party with a party food buffet for dinner, what food would your child hope to have there?

Dd (going to be 8) has a few friends coming for her birthday, one of whom is vegetarian. I just want to make sure I have a nice selection of food that she can enjoy too (obviously I'll check with her mum as well).

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Pizza (margarita, the only toppings she really likes are sweetcorn, pineapple and Quorn pepperoni so a plain pizza is a safe bet); chips or wedges; ketchup, mayo or BBQ sauce; garlic bread; cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, carrot sticks with hummus or yoghurt and cucumber; Quorn cocktail sausages and/or picnic eggs; veggie spring rolls; cheese and crackers; breadsticks; pesto/cheese pasta; mini cheese and onion/veggie sausage rolls;, sandwiches: cheese/peanut butter/egg/hummus/Quorn...

Just to be clear no way would she expect all of that in any one buffet! It's just some ideas of the types of things she likes for buffet food.

I've seen 8 year olds at a party, and they all ate their body weight in hula hoops.

dS1 is 16 now but I would say anything involving cheese - pizza and halloumi bites are absolute favs

another poster has mentioned pesto pasta - DS 1 would probably eat that daily given the chance … no good if any nut allergies though

Thanks so much for all the suggestions, there were several that I'd not thought of, or considered.
