Your DC age and car seat

I am aware car seats are a very controversial topic and everyone on the internet seems to ERF but in real life I only know a handful (myself included).

So I am wondering, what car seat do you have for your DC and how old are they?

3.5yo cybex HBB with seatbelt
20mo FF 123 seat. We upgraded from what we had for DC1 but DC2 can't get in and out of it on his own which frustrates him (wants to be like his older sibling). Will replace with HBB when DC2 is big enough for the seatbelt.
Both forward facing from about 15mo. There is a mix of ERF and FF in my area.

5 and 8 year old, both in joie high back boosters.
8 year old is 135cm now so technically doesn't need to be in one, but he likes it because it has a headrest for long journeys.

My 143cm 10-year old is in a high back booster. Will be in it until they are too long in the body for it, or reach 150cm, whichever comes first. My eldest was the same. He was 11 and almost 150cm but couldn't fit his shoulders under the headrest comfortably so we ditched the HBB.

My child is 2 years 4 months and he does rear face in a halfords own make rear facing seat suitable to 18 kilos. I simply could not afford an ERF specialist seat at the time he outgrew his infant carrier and I content myself that I understand enough to know that rear facing is safer. Hopefully I'll be able to afford an ERF 36 kilo seat before we outgrow this one.

6 and 4 and both in joie high back boosters with the regular seatbelt have had these seats since they were 5 and 3. They are the same weight as my youngest is 99 centile and oldest is really petite. Both SEN and couldn’t cope in rear facing any longer

One three year old, in a Maxway Plus. He won’t be forward facing for a good few years yet.

16yo - no car seat (since about 10/11 he hasn't needed one)

6yo - Britax Advansafix, in HBB mode

3yo - Joie 360 Spin, forward facing (very occasionally rear facing)

Good on you for choosing what is safest for your child. While I fully support ERF as it is safest in a crash, if children are SEN or carsick etc while less protected in a crash there is less chance of a crash it DCs aren’t distressed in the car seat which many people seem to forget how hard it is driving with a distraught/vomitting child!
