I've been up a while, pottering round, since boy dickhead kitten got me up at 7am <sigh>. I've just put the washer on & sat down to finish my cuppa while I decide what to do next.

We haven't got much planned for today really. I'm off to see Gracie Abrams with the girls in just over 2 weeks so we're going to make some bracelets to hopefully trade with other fans. And I want to try and remove a very small logo from a sweater so I can diy it with some sparkly bows.

Other than that, just a day of pottering really. I'll get a shower at some point - couldn't be arsed last night - and maybe wander up to the local pub for an hour or two with friends. Right now I cba with that either but may feel different at 7pm, who knows 🤷‍♀️.

Just on my way home from Parkrun. Was muddy and hilly which I usually avoid but was a really nice course and felt like I had a good cardiac workout. Breakfast out and looking forward to a soak in the bath.
Today will be a toss up between sorting my hall cupboard and getting some clothes for my holiday next month. Im already pretty sure which one will win.
Tonight will be a lazy sofa evening with a couple of drinks.

Good morning @lucysmam and all. We've got dh's sister and partner staying so we've had a slow start with coffee and breakfast.
Ds2 has a rughy match this afternoon in a nice town fairly locally so we're all heading over, SIL and I might just mooch around the town and find a nice cafe, or may join Dh and Bil watching - we'll see what the weather is doing.
Steak, wedges and salad for dinner, fire lit, glass of wine and lots of chat tonight.

Just back from swimming and currently showering girls / doing hair (they hate doing it at the pool).

We have a party this afternoon so we're going to watch the Arsenal game on TV, have a small lunch and then head off.

DC1 is staying home and he is having a friend over for a gaming afternoon.

We should be back by 6pm so depending on how much the girls eat at the party (probably not a lot) I'll decide on dinner. Will defrost a bolognese of chilli if they are hungry. DC1 and his friend are going to put a pizza and garlic bread in the oven whilst we're out.

I'm ordering Pad Thai for myself later.

If we can agree on one, then we'll watch a film later.

Good morning @lucysmam & everyone. Wondering how it’s already 11.20! Was downstairs making a cuppa for me & DH by 8 & we had it in bed. He’s now working & I start at 1. DD16 hasn’t emerged yet. Being the domestic goddess I am, I have whipped up a Thai green chicken curry & will be switching the slow cooker on at noon. So easy to make. The lime leaves, newly opened, unfortunately had white spots on them which means insect infestation (ugh) so I’ve improvised & added a few drops of lime juice! Hopefully it works! Just need to do jasmine rice with the curry. DD will sort herself out as per. Dishwasher has been unloaded/partially loaded. No laundry to do for a change but 3 loads to put away. I might watch Saturday Kitchen in a bit. Probably put a film on tonight. Looking forward to BGT starting next Sat.

Start of the much needed half term here and we are having a super cosy, lazy day and it's glorious!

Rain forecast all day so we don't feel guilty about staying in!

One teen is off on a sleepover so there's only 5 of us here the house seems so quiet 😂

I got up with the youngest as is routine on a Saturday so DH has a lie in (I have Sunday). Now we've switched and he's on DC duty and I've had a lovely bath. Not sure on afternoon plans, possibly bring the duvets down and all watch a film or something.

I also need to clear my wardrobe as got a new one coming next week but I'm thinking that can wait until tomorrow!

Had a bit of a lie in, and then breakfast. Took the dog for a walk through the woods. We’ve had alot of rain recently and it’s been really wet and slippery so haven’t been in the woods for ages. Came back and had bacon sandwiches as (young adult) son is going out to a match so wanted an early lunch. Thus afternoon, tidying up stuff in the garage.

Was going to the allotment, but it's sleet & icey here.
The dc are knackered as are me & DH all still getting over covid (week 2 and it's still not been banished from this house ) so not much again this weekend. Just had a Tesco delivery.
Think a relaxing weekend is on the cards. Still have another week of school till half term.

whiskyfromsmallglasses not quite the same but I had a hernia repair & was taken aback by how long it took to fully recover. I got an infection from the wound so needed antibiotics plus I had a fair bit of pain from scar tissue. Look after yourself 💐💐💐

I'm so excited! (I know - it's sad) I DID go out looking for knitting yarn this morning and I found this place called 'The Secondhand Craft Shop' which I had heard of but wasn't sure where it was. Anyway... LOOK at my haul! I got all this for £8.00! The stuff on top of the box, not the stuff in the box.

So pleased!

Morning Everyone! Good to hear everyone's plans. I got up and went to Parkrun this morning- PB on this course so glad I made the effort. Came back and made DS and I a bacon bap in the air fryer. DD is painting the inside of a couple of floor to ceiling cupboards to earn money for a half term shopping trip with her friends, so I helped her set up for that. DH chainsawing some logs from a tree that fell down last week. DS has walked into town to get his hair cut (and probably a Tesco meal deal). Then he and DH are going to see MIL for a cuppa and check out a new gym they're thinking of joining. I need to do a load of house renovation admin - just so many different tradies and I need to recheck all the timelines so they're not tripping over each other and things get done in the right order. Also got a mountain of laundry as had plumbing work done this week so washing machine out of play until yesterday. It's cold and a bit drizzly so happy to have a laptop afternoon tbh.

Beef chilli tacos for dinner and probably a bit of TV tonight.

For those who can't see the image:
2 big cones of yarn. A bag with 4 different colours of double knit, part balls. 2 balls of boucle. 3 balls of chunky bobbly stuff, a pair of chunky wooden knitting needles and a crochet hook!

My DH has taken my daughter out for a bit this morning whilst I sit under my heated blanket drinking coffee and watching YouTube much needed little break when he gets home I think it'll be nap time for my daughter and then we might go do something like drive a little distance to the bigger further away supermarket and might treat her to a dinner out somewhere.

I was awoken by DH from a lovely dream about Danny Kaye and a load of puppies, but it was with a call of “tea's ready” so I can't really complain…

I made tuna pasta bake for DH earlier, including shoving in some anchovies, which he loves, and managed to cut myself on both hands when washing the tins, so that's him on washing up duty. Every cloud…

I am digging out a few ingredients and my pestle and mortar, as this afternoon, I am making incense mixes with the coven, followed by a nice dinner.

I'll catch up on the Snooker semi final when I get home.

Using the day to get properly caught up with everything that needs to be done in the house.

Probably need to be getting out to do some shopping, too.

Truly boring weekend ahead of me - but embracing it, because next weekend is going to be super busy.

I’m a bit late today! But hi lovely Saturday gang

I had a little lie-in this morning and cracked on with de-skankifying the house. Just sitting down for a quick cuppa and a read of my favourite thread, and then will finish last bits.

DH is out for the day and I have a quiet day of dog walking, pottering and reading….absolute bliss!! The DS’ will be gyming and gaming no doubt.

Did venture out to get some bits from Sainsburys then came home and took the dog out
Just doing a cooked breakfast for Dd who’s home from university for a week she’s working this afternoon until 10.00 I’m having a sausage sandwich
Might have a nap this afternoon as didn’t sleep very well
Going to put some items on Vinted
Have some washing to do
Dh is away with work and Dd’s going to her boyfriends after work so no plans for later lasagne for tea then just snuggling up with the dog whilst watching tv

Was out just before 9am to visit the local shopping centre. Fancied a Costas and wanted to go to Primark. Haven't bought any new clothes in yonks and just fancied some new bits.
Home about 11 and have just pottered. Salmon and chips for tea tonight, and a Disney+ show a friend has recommended. Nothing planned for tomorrow. Will probably stay in, as I've got things planned for out of the house on Monday.

Busy morning making bacon butties for breakfast, changing the beds, cleaning the bathroom and getting two washes done. Ds was gaming and dd was at her gym class with dp. Now had lunch and they’re all off to football while I have an afternoon to myself! Pasta for tea then Gladiators and wine.

I have had a lovely day so far. Nice lie in, a volunteer session at a local nature reserve and just having lunch 😋
No real plans. We are all recovering from colds.
DS is out this evening, so takeaway and the end of The Nightwatch on Netflix for me and DH
