If you’ve been on a cruise, did you feel rushed ? And always paranoid about time ?

@Speedymoneysaver if you like sedate, then Fred O should be right up your street! P&O also have a couple of adults-only ships which are a bit smaller, and might be worth a look. Fred Olsen do 5 night cruises which are a good way of seeing if you like it. They give a commentary when you are passing anything scenic, which is nice to sit and listen to.

To be honest we have enjoyed all our trips. We have been to Norway, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal and the British Isles. You usually get one or two exciting destinations, and one or two to sort of make up the numbers, but we have enjoyed some of the less obvious stops too. We have had lovely days in both Cherbourg and St Malo for example. I absolutely loved Portugal but the Atlantic coast is quite hilly, lots of steep hills in Lisbon. You can stay close to the waterfront though, if you need level ground.
The Bay of Biscay can be a bit rough and stormy too, maybe best to assure yourselves everyone is a good sailor before picking Spain or Portugal as destinations.
I think everyone’s overall favourite stop was Bergen in the Norwegian Fjords, but we also really enjoyed going round the British Isles, which doesn’t seem very intrepid, but it was actually wonderful.

@AmIUsingMadeUpWords Thank you so much for this very useful insight. I've actually been contemplating booking for a couple of years but had no idea which cruise line to choose, and dreaded a repeat of the experiences we've had at some airports with assistance, so kept putting it off.
Thank you - you've inspired me to give it a go!

Wow how lovely to hear you like the P&O musicians. DS was on Arvia up until Christmas and they had a blast and got loads of good reviews.

Yay. What a fantastic job to have.
