We need new pillows and have neck pain with our older ones. I'm looking for ones that are not too firm but not too soft and are comfortable. I've seen the Beckham ones that are advertised all over youtube but I don't want to pay £100 for a pillow. Not unless it's one of those beauty pillows like Save my face etc.
I just need good pillows!

I bought a premier inn one and like it.

Premier inn!

I'm watching with interest as I'm in exactly the same position. I prefer a feather pillow and the best pillow I've ever had was at the Hard Rock Hotel last year in Orlando, unfortunately the company that supplies them will not ship to the uk.

I've tried unsuccessful to replicate this pillow without success. It's apparently a surround pillow, firmer central feathers surrounded by softer ones.

I have a lovely memory foam one that was £33 at amazon. It's squishy but supportive at the same time.

I have spent literally hundreds on pillows after I developed neck pain a few years ago. Genuinely the best one I've found was about £8 from IKEA. I have had it for a year and it's still perfect. You've actually reminded me to go and buy another one as I'm nervous about it ever going out of stock!

Another vote from the Premier Inn ones. My old pilllow was giving me a still neck and I’ve just bought a PI one to replace it. I’m chuffed that my neck pain has gone and the pillows are a really reasonable price too.

My perfect combination is a ask sleep wool pillow with a soak and sleep Hungarian goose down on top. I now take my pillows with me as other pillows give me such bad sleep.

Vi-Spring or Downia here.

My physio recommended this for neck/shoulder pain - it's really good

thanks for the recommendations - my Premier Inn pillows arrived yesterday after finding this thread.
Best nights sleep in ages, despite it being so hot.

Hate my Premier inn one's! Had them.less than a year and they've gone flat and too firm in the middle. Not comfortable at all.

ThinWomansBrain · 11/07/2025 16:00

that's disappointing to hear, fingers crossed mine don't do that.
the way i feel at the moment, the cost was worth it for just a few nights good sleep!

I alternate between two different pillows. I like them both, but sometimes one feels more comfortable than the other.
One is a Panda hybrid pillow (firm and yet also soft; supportive when side sleeping).
The other is a Dunlopillow (smaller and less firm than the Panda, with a a slightly bouncy feel).
