I'm just drinking my first cuppa, in my kitchen spot. It's pretty much silent down here apart from the kitchen clock ticking, and fridge humming 😊. The kittens have been fed & gone off back to bed upstairs somewhere - boy cat doesn't like being alone & was wandering round shouting for girl cat, not long ago, so I guess he found her 🤣

I'm nipping into town today with dd2. She needs school shoes. We did order some online but have been sent some completely different ones that aren't suitable, so they need to go back <sigh>.

When we get in, I need to prep my lessons for the week, and organise my photocopying to do in the morning so I can actually teach the lessons!

Dd2 has a little bit of homework to finish, so I'll see if she wants to join me down here - probably not!

Dd1 was out out until 3am last night 😱 so I don't expect her to surface any time soon. I'll be surprised if she does more than eat, shower and doom scroll today!

We're having a roast this evening, followed by early showers all round. We're having some work done in the bathroom this week, so I'm saving my scrubby everything shower for when that's done and it's nicer to be in.

This evening will be chilled out, with my book & some sweets of some sort before a nice early night 💤💤 . It'd be lovely if I actually slept properly for once thanks menopause 🙄

Morning all.

Im in bed having a cup of tea and bacon roll. DDog eyeing it up. Both cats asleep downstairs.
DD still asleep and DH next to me nursing a hangover. We were out last night but he just can’t cope anymore 🙈😂

DM is cooking lunch for all the family so we will head there later. DS already there. He had a sleepover.

This evening will be getting uniforms organised and shopping. Away next weekend with it being half term (Scotland) so need to organise clothes for that too.

@ssd I'm a TA but teach a phonics lesson in a morning alongside several other teachers and TA's.

I've migrated to the dining table to meal plan and all I can hear is the dishwasher. It's such a peaceful Sunday morning sound!

Just back from Disneyland last night so it's a day of washing and recovering 😅 (and wishing we were back there!)

Another grey and gloomy day here. I've printed off the tutoring stuff I'll need for the 3 students I see during the week.
I'm almost debating a walk round the block in a bit. I didn't go out at all yesterday and feel a turn-out might do me good. I'll see how I feel in a while.
Either way, I need to brave a trip out to the garage freezer for some lunch bits, and thinking ahead to tomorrows dinner - some batch made meatballs I assembled and then froze about 3 weeks ago.

Good morning! So far I have driven DH 15 miles to hospital for endoscopies, come home, walked the dog, returned to pick DH up, I’m drinking the coffee I made between car trips. I have lit the log burner because I’m cold, it’s chilly and murky out and I don’t feel particularly good.
Roast pork for dinner, I need to do the vegetables. I don’t intend to do anything much today 😊

I'm sitting here lamenting my lack of activity at the weekends. DH has meant a friend for coffee. DS1 was at a sleepover and will be home later. DS2 is watching tv.

I'll take some laundry out of the drier and fold it. And make lunch and dinner. I'm watching a film. DH and ds1 will watch rugby later. I'll walk the dog.

It still feels a bit empty and sad. If the weather was better I'd be out faffing in the garden.

It's a stay at home day for us here.
Dh is at work and ds has just finished his maths tutorial.
I've made myself useful this morning and scrubbed the oven. Sprayed all the trays down last night with that new Fairy skip the soak spray that many people seem to raving about on the cleaning tiktoks. I actually left it to soak overnight though so to make me actually clean the oven this morning or else the motivation simply wouldn't have been there. It's been done though all clean so pleased with that.
I've also stripped the beds and chucked the linen in wash. Need to re-make the beds. Need to put another laundry load on. The bathroom and downstairs loo could also do with a clean but motivation is just not there at the moment.
Ds has gone straight out to catch up with some friends. I'm just mooching about on our unmade bed at the moment chilling.
Dinner later on will be lasagna that dh made last night.

Morning!

Definitely an indoors day. I had a bit of a meltdown this morning at the state of the house and a leak from the fridge. DD has sorted her crap craft table, I dealt with the kitchen and I'm now feeling a lot calmer.

I am in Task Force mode today. We spend far too much time looking for the right sized small screwdrivers, so I've ordered a new set from screfix plus a spare electricians screwdriver. I've also ordered a longer charging cable for my mobile phone as I lie in bed a lot and need a bit of length (NOT a euphemism!) 😆 None of these things are costly, but will stop me going crazy make a huge difference.

We only put the Christmas tree away yesterday (competing priorities and health issues, but actually enjoyed the extended cheery fairy lights each evening)

We had a lie in this morning as the kids stayed over at my parents last night and it was fabulous! I feel like a whole new person haha. They’re back now so DD is playing on the PlayStation and I’ve just put DS down for a nap. We’re off swimming this afternoon (activity plus everyone gets showered and hair washed so kills two birds with one stone!) and then DH is making bean chilli for tea.

It's been a morning of chores. Bathrooms done, all beds changed, 3rd lot of laundry on, shopping all unpacked and put away. Lamb casserole simmering and I'm just about to make a chicken curry for portioning / freezing. Also just done lunch for the kids.

DC2 is lots better today but DC3 now has an infected whitlow so we'll need to see the GP tomorrow.

This afternoon will be a combo of homework / relaxing / decluttering the toy boxes. I need to get through a pile of ironing.

Dinner will be aforementioned lamb casserole with homemade bread (I can't take credit for the bread. My FIL dropped a loaf round for us this morning. He's the best!). We also got a cake dropped round so we'll have that later for dessert.

Will stick a film on after dinner and an early night all round.

Just waiting for my daughter to wake up from her nap she was awake very early this morning so went for a nap very early doors compared to normal.
Promised her we will go to the shop for a doughnut after 😆 obviously they don't come in packs of one... Nevermind 🐷 🐖
Got a bit of visiting to do too.

OMG. Since my DD started uni this (university) year my schedule has totally gone topsy turvy! I go to bed 2, 3, sometimes 4am. While I do get up between 7.30-8am to feed the cats and let the dog out, I then go back to bed til about 11 (don't worry dog is 13 so not so energetic and I do take her for a good walk, just later).
When DD was at school it was up early, dressed and DD, dog and me in the car to drop her at the tube station then dog and me to park. Back home 9ish to start the work day (I work for myself so set my own hours).
So long ramble as to why I'm sitting at the kitchen table in my jammies just having had first meal of the day waiting for the drizzle to stop so I can get the dog out. I have put on a load of laundry and did some tidying but man lazy lazy lazy! After walk plan on doing some crocheting and at some point a proper clean of the bathroom as having my son is visiting for a couple days tomorrow.

I love these threads each weekend, there’s something very comforting about reading how people are spending their time.

I’ve had a lie-in and a chilled morning in my new favourite spot, a large snuggle chaise. It’s grey, cold and drizzly here so I’ve no enthusiasm for garden tidying - roll on Spring please.

Will be having a call with a good friend later this afternoon, then a call with my sister early evening. Always enjoy these, that’s 2 hours that will fly by!

I need to put together a new cat tree and set up a couple of litter boxes. I had to have my amazing cat PTS the week before Christmas and I definitely didn’t think I’d be ready to contemplate a new one yet. But the opportunity to re home a 1 year-old Maine Coon arose and the little sod was all over me when I met him, there was no way I could say no. Am picking him up later this week and am guessing I won’t get much else done once I get him home! I’ve forgotten what the youngster stage is like, it’s been 15 years, so am bracing myself for a bit of lunacy for the foreseeable.

Will fit in a bit of diamond painting as am working on a picture of a friend’s dog, really want to get it finished as she’s eager to see it. Then leftover takeaway curry for dinner and I’ll find something to watch on TV for an hour or so. And then to bed, which I’m really looking forward to - put a new soft fleecy duvet set on the bed last night and it was like sleeping wrapped up in a cloud - bliss 💤
