How to help my muscles when I can’t move?

I currently have a misaligned pelvis. It is agony. But I think the thing that makes it hurt the most are the muscles in my lower back and bum that are working overtime to keep me upright when I have to stand and walk. What can I do to relieve them? 😩 A bath is 100% out of the question, there is absolutely no way I’d be able to stand back up in such a small space, let alone climb out. Or even climb in to begin with. I have incredibly limited mobility right now and have to use a walking stick. It doesn’t hurt when I lie down but I can’t really spend all day lying on the bed.

If the muscles are in spasm, your GP may prescribe a short course of diazepam. It’s sometimes the only thing that works for me.

I have an horrific low back problem but heart helps the most with the muscle spasms

I bought a heated cushions from Lidl on Friday for £15

Agee with all comment re NHS physio and nurse contact although mine is totally lovely it's a stupid system. The hospital ones did not have a clue.

Can you afford a private physio? Someone who can actually work with you & show you the exercises & check your form etc?

Also what a pp said about massage. My private physio said something similar about hands on massage helping the body rewire the pain signals or something.

@FrangipaniBlue The mat arrived yesterday evening, I’m a fan! When I tried it last night I used it on the bed and wearing my nightie. All that muscle pain in my back? GONE! My hips/pelvis are still in agony but my overall pain has halved 🤗 I’m lying on it now in bed (ditched the nightie though) and my back is so warm! It’s the weirdest thing! I don’t think I’ll be able to get on the floor with it any time soon though so it’ll just have to be a bed thing for now. Thank you so much for suggesting it! Best £15 I ever spent.

@AintNobodyHereButUsChickens amazing! I'm really suffering with my back at the moment, currently laying on my bed with a hot water bottle ☹️ please could you share the link for the mat you bought? Thanks!
