& how's your day been?

My best friend's just left after calling for an after work brew, and I've just poured a second glass of wine 🍷. She surprised me with a Creme Egg she picked up on her way 🥰 & brought her ds along (he's 17). Dd1 joined us too & it was nice to sit and chat, and hear what the kids are up to.

Dd2's just got in the shower after staying later than usual at school completing a looong ass mock exam. When she's done, I'll get a quick shower, then we'll order an Indian takeaway 😋

I've had quite a nice day...apart from it being both my break and lunch duty in the cold 🧊. My 1:1 was in a great mood all day, I got to have a proper chat with the other classroom TA, and my kitchen radiator has finally been replaced with a much newer one 🥳.

I'm just going to tidy up under the sink before I shower - it's driving me nuts!

I'm in a cheap hotel for a night on my own after a busy day at work..don't think I've ever done this before :) the peace is deafening:)

Relaxing. Went to the gym this morning, first time since November 🤦‍♀️ dinner will be sausages with veg and tinned spuds. There might be wine on the menu.

@Chickoletta mine is maybe 10 mins away, at a stroll. She's the best & has seen me through some absolute shit. She's a school bus chapherone (sp) so similar hours to a school day & we catch up properly once a week ish.

We're in a chalet skiing in France with our blended family and about to have Friday Night Dinner which consists of an Italian takeaway!

I WFH today, DH did too and DS1 was off school sick. We all did our own thing and met for food. Worked sitting under my electric blanket, so felt happy and cozy.
Currently sorting the washing, watching Shamless USA on my iPad with a glass of wine. DH is playing a computer game with some caramel rum. The kids are chilling playing a game. Feel like watching Brigit Jones.

I exchanged a really dodgy bike for a super new one to take out landscape painting au natural so once I am confident I will get a trailer and become the village eccentric!

Home made garlic heavy pizzas x1 (for teens in oven) ours next, film and popcorn in an hour or so.

it’s fucking freezing outside

Spent the last few hours going through two freezers and attempting to persuade DH to part with one of them. It’s as if I’m advocating he loses a limb. He’s about to watch football and I’ll soon have the swimming lane to myself as no one else has booked. Wine o’clock approaches.

Im due on my period any day now i have sore boobs bloated belly and so fucking tired.
I bet ill be in bed by 8pm im shattered have been all day i woke at 9am good sleep done nothing all day and im shattered.
every month im the same.

I seem to have spent 90% of the week on Teams calls dealing with rather frustrating people so I'm glad it's the weekend! I finished at 4 today and went to Reformer Pilates. Just had dinner (salmon, roast veg and rice). I'm going to have a shower now, get my pjs on and watch some more of The Castaways. Happy Friday everyone!

I had a very rare day off and went for lunch, I've spent the afternoon watching Amanda land under my heated blanket and my DH has gone to our local and I'm still here watching Brian cox..

debating if I can be arsed to get up and go for a drink.

I have just had a jacket potato with beans and cheese and a glass of wine.
I'm watching Natural Born Killers and when that is done I will have a bath and get into bed and read my book. No plans tomorrow
and I'm prioritising self care and rest after a rough few weeks.

I had a lovely day helping on DD3s school trip. After school we went to the park with DDs and a few school friends and then for hot chocolate and cake after at a lovely cafe. Tonight we’ve had a Thai delivery and watching Moana 2 cuddled up on couch. Littlest DD has fallen asleep cuddled into DD1.
DH has just poured us another glass of wine. Perfect Friday.

We're rewatching S1 of Severance after starting S2 and having no memory or clue of wtf is happening, with a bottle of makers mark between us. That'll probably be tomorrow night for us too. I'll likely fall asleep at some point and be annoyed he didn't immediately notice and pause it.

So glad the week is over. It was my week in the office, and I was feeling quite chipper. Due to have my 6 month 1-to-1 and appraisal to bring my probation to an end, after being made redundant in June and unemployed for 7 weeks.

And then due to start apprenticeship next week, was supposed to be having intro meetings Tuesday/Wednesday but Monday lunchtime, trainer emailed me to ask for my Maths and English GCSE certificates. Don’t know where they are, not known for a while. Think they got lost in a house move (DH is ex-military) but I’m 49 years old and worked as a teacher in this county for 13 years, until Dec 2013.

I had already looked into getting replacements about 2 weeks ago but needed documentation to show my name change, so marriage cert. Think that might have gone the same way as the exam certs, so have ordered replacement, won’t be here till Feb 24th, and then 3-4 week wait for replacement certificates.

So my place on the Apprenticeship is gone. So fed up. There is another cohort in June, but given my age and past history, losing out for this reason seems so 😫😤😖

But I didn’t express any of my frustration or, quite frankly, disbelief to the boss, the trainer, etc in the way I really wanted to so that feels like a win.

Now got FA Cup footy on, hoping Leicester will give Man Utd a good kicking.

DS is struggling to sleep so I'm in his tiny bed cuddling him and hoping he drifts off soon. It'll be MN til then because god forbid I open dominos to browse for dinner - he has a sixth sense about these things 😂 Not sure how long it will be - I thought we were getting somewhere but he's just come out with 'in the middle of next week, can we fly to Africa?' - he's never been to Africa, no intension of going anytime soon, but he's pretty put out by the fact I'm not currently buying flights for Wednesday!

As soon as he is asleep, I'll order a pizza and leg it to have a legendary 'scrubby shower' and change into new PJs before it arrives. Then to find something to watch, I'm leaning towards a Harry Potter or maybe Wicked. Followed by a nice early bedtime as this week has wiped me out!

Just watched a recording of The Apprentice while eating homemade chicken soup. Now listening to Mellow Magic radio hosted by Lynn Parsons and about to research a holiday to Greece for me and DH - 20 year anniversary. Just been slated by someone on this site, but not bothered. Life's too short.

Had a lovely fun day with DD10 and in a premier inn - with what I think is another dislocated knee! (I have EDS so it happens a lot) so annoyed, were meant to be bowling tomorrow :(

It’s not quite evening here yet but tonight I’ve got a date! It’s a 4th date and I’m getting the train to his town (which is in another state) and we’re going to go to a bar then home to Netflix & chill. 😎 it’s the first time I’ve been to his house (which is actually his parents’ house, but that’s another story…) and I’m really intrigued.

Not a bad end to the week - clinic this afternoon which finished surprisingly early. Dd17 boyfriend is here this evening so we’ve all just had a really nice fry up for tea. DH is washing up whilst having a beer and I’ve opened a bottle of fizz, so just relaxing in the front room before carrying on with the boxset we’ve been watching.
It’s DH’s weekend off so hoping to cook some nice food and get some jobs done at home. Going to watch my nephews compete at a BMX race on Sunday so hope it’s not too cold.
Last weekend was a nightmare after a 4.30am call from DM who was ill, so hoping for a fairly chilled weekend .

I wish I had a best friend. I don't have any friends due to being unable to properly socialise. It's very lonely.
On the plus side, before dislocating this stupid knee, DD & I did have a wonderful meal at a beautiful Chinese restaurant. Noodle'd out! 🍜

Dh came home with wine and we have ordered from a new burger place for dinner (we usually have takeaway on a Friday evening). I'm perusing Mumsnet, he's watching some crime drama thing that I don't like.

Dc who still live here are either out or working so a chilled out evening to ourselves!
