Red blochy facial skin on 40 year old, advise please

Hi there
I've noticed that my face has become quite blochy over the last year or so.
I'm looking for advise on how to get rid of it. I don't wear much make up so don't want to cover it up. So any life style advise or advise on a moisturiser etc would be very helpful.
Thank you

Alcohol? I had to mostly give it up after 40 as it would make my skin red and inflamed.

Why has it become blotchy? Sensitive to something you're using on your face?

I'd repost this on style and beauty, you'll get some good advice for this on there

This has been a game changer for me, it is worth the money.

Alcohol? Stopping drinking took away all my facial redness/patchiness. Had spent ages researching creams etc for it, but didn't realise just how much of it was down to alcohol.

Thank you
I don't really drink. thank you I will look at the cream.
I think my skins just changes as I'm getting older? Or maybe due to the cold weather? I don't really know. But not alcohol

Is it over the cheeks and nose? It could be rosacea (the blotchy type rather than the type with bumps).

I've been using a moisturiser with aloe vera, that seems to be helping. And had some thread veins removed with laser. If you get a magnifying mirror with a light you can get more of an idea of if its blotches or veins (I have both).

Try skin+me? It's made a huge difference to my skin almost overnight.
