Am I saying the right things?

My DD is 6. She started telling me about how she felt embarrassed at school a while ago because one of the girls in her class was laughing at her. The reasons I could not explain to you - something about building a tower out of blocks and my DD was putting the blocks in a different place - I do t know!
Anyway she says this girl was whispering in her friends ear. She said they ignored her.

My DD says she wants to confront this girl and say she won't be playing with her again because of this girl laughing at her.

This girl in question has a bit of a reputation of trying to dominate other children...has been aggressive and comes across bossy.

I listened. I then said it's totally normal to feel embarrassed. But you are in control of your own emotions..don't let this girl see your reaction. Don't play with her! You have lots of other friends.

I must point out she told me this a bedtime and so was tired ...

Any advice navigating friendships at this age...

Sounds like good advice

I think the advice to not give her a reaction and play with someone else was fine.
