Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just finishing my first cuppa of the day & thinking about getting dd1 up for breakfast. The kittens have been fed - boy kitten knocked down part of the clothes airer & woke me up 🙄, and dd2's already awake. She's snuggled up in bed with girl kitten.

The washer's on already & dd2 needs to appear with her uniform for a wash before I leave.

I'm off to a tiny gig, in Nottingham, today with dd1. It's someone we've seen before, as the opener, at an even smaller gig & dd1 is friendly with her. I'm just debating outfit - we're on public transport so I'd like a coat but it's not really practical for a standing gig unless the venue has a cloakroom & I can't see that they do, online.

Dd1 saw a tiktok of a themed Wetherspoons in Nottingham the other night, so wants to find that while we're there, and has asked for McDonald's for tea, so that's what we'll do with the afternoon.

Dd2's off out with her friend for a while. They only ever go to Tesco for a meal deal & eat it on the park, so that's what I expect they'll do today as well! She has homework she wants to do later on. I have no idea what she'll pick for tea with their dad - probably the same as us.

Lounging in bed with coffee right now. Then it's time to get up and make DS1'S birthday cake, with DS2's assistance. If we make it this morning, we can decorate it this afternoon. I'm a bit concerned that the Mexican restaurant I'm trying to book for DS1'S birthday dinner tonight hasn't answered their phone or responded to text messages- do they want our business or not?! 🙄
Inbetweentimes I'd like to sneak to the allotment, if it isn't raining. But I'm feeling annoyingly fatigued- this has been going on for a couple of weeks, I think I've been fighting off a couple of viruses in quick succession.

Good morning @lucysmam & everyone. In bed but planning to get up after posting this as I’m working later. Made a cuppa for myself & DH earlier & put a wash on whilst I was downstairs. Opened the dishwasher to finish drying the contents & took out stuff for recycling. DD16 is in bed - she’s going through a stage of not sleeping at night then catching up during the day. Often she won’t emerge til about 2 or 3pm ( she’s not in education). DH is hoping to go for a bike ride if it stays dry. He’s making beef & ale stew with dumplings for tea. Can’t wait! Need to pop to Pets At Home after my shift for hay & straw. Trying to find a new Netflix series to get our teeth into. We watched the last episode of The Resident the other day & I felt really sad as I was invested in the characters & felt there was a lot more to be done. Perhaps Series 7 will be made one day. Watched Virgin River last night but not sure it’s going to be DH’s thing. Any recommendations welcome, including medical things ( we’ve seen all of Greys Anatomy). Have a good day folks.

I've very happy I've woken up to a sunny sky... Although not in time for park run so I'm off round the village for a walk with my cup of tea to get the day going. Sunshine makes such a difference!
I've fed the teens guinea pigs as she's asleep still obvs 😂 and put a wash on
Got my sister coming over today and we're going for a pub lunch which is a birthday treat... Ahead of the day on Tuesday... Last year of forties 😬... But feeling OK about it!
We' ll go for a walk after lunch probably to the beach and get a celebration ice-cream
I've got some prosecco for later but not sure I fancy it after a nearly dry January, probably have a glass and fall asleep 😂

I've just finished my second cup of tea and I'm shortly leaving for a two hour drive to a family birthday celebration. I'll be staying with a family member tonight and then to another for a late lunch tomorrow. Will be lovely to catch up but I'll be knackered when I get home tomorrow night.

Good morning @lucysmam and all. That sounds like a lovely day - hope you enjoy the gig and a themed Wetherspoons sounds interesting! I'll have to ask ds1 if he found it when he went to Nottingham with his gf before Christmas. He had Wetherspoons Top Trumps in his stocking this year, such is his love.

Not much planned here - Dh is at work so I'm going to try and have a productive sorting out morning. I'll go and see my mum for a couple of hours this afternoon, then home to watch the rugby.

Ds2 is still in bed, but has revision to do, then he's heading over to a friend's later who's just broken his leg - he plays football at quite a high level so he's mighty fed up and needs some company.

Need to pop into London for a birthday card and present for my Dad and to pick up a few things.
A quick tidy round the house later and then relaxing for the rest of the day.
Need to find a new series to watch. Am enjoying Paradise but they only drop episodes weekly.

Going to sort some bits out to put on Vinted later
Having a chilled night in front of the tv / reading

Good morning everyone, it’s lovely and sunny here but still very cold! Dh has a day off today so we’ve had a very relaxed morning and are all still lounging around in our pjs. We’ve put the Tesco delivery away and I’ve put a second load of washing in - got loads to do over the weekend!

Today me, dd17 and dd10 are all going to get our hair done, dd20 went to stay with a couple of her friend in Nottingham yesterday and won’t be back until a week tomorrow, she is planning on moving there so they’ve gone to plan logistics and to house hunt. I’ve no idea what dh’s plans are while me and the girls are out.

Once we’re home then my niece is coming round for tea and to have a sleepover (she’s 12 and little besties with dd10 so she’s looking forward to it) and dh is off to the pub tonight so I’ll sit in front of the film and might have some wine if I fancy it and dd17 might join me if she has no other plans - not sure if she’s doing anything this evening or not.

We had friends over for dinner last night so I’m slowly getting the kitchen back to normal. DH loaded the dishwasher last night but forgot to actually switch it on so it is all taking a bit longer than it should. Second load is on and there is at least one more to go. House smells like a curry house as DH cooked Indian food. I’m enjoying the fact that other than the kitchen the house is much tidier than normal as we have been doing a lot of sorting out and I cleaned and tidied for our guests yesterday.

I am going to Australia and NZ on Monday for five weeks so need to start sorting my packing etc. And catch up on washing. And maybe change beds.

DH needs to get up into attic to get my suitcases down.

No idea what’s for dinner. Maybe sausages and mash and onion gravy. And wine.

I've just dyed my hair and had a bath. About to put some washing on and tidy the house and sort the kitchen so I know what to order in my food shop.

@CharlotteStreetW1 nope! I've got as far as black, wide leg, jeans & my black trainers. Not a clue what to put on my top half - the pink top I had pulled out is too small 🙄

An early trip to Lidl for the food shop. I whizzed around, so was home and unpacked by 8:40. Did a bit of tidying, as my sister is coming round at 12. We're having lunch here and then we're off for a mooch around the garden centre.

Depending on whether sis wants to drive herself to the garden centre, or come in the car with me, I may stop off at the retail park for a Home Bargains visit to load up with crisps for lunchboxes.

@RabbitsRock - all pleasure! I’m very lucky and get to go to Australia almost every year as my best friend is there. There are four of us who are very close - one in Sydney, one in Melbourne and one in NZ. The NZ one normally comes to Australia when I’m there but this time we have decided to go to her. We are just going to Queenstown for six days and then to her house in Christchurch. I met them all when we all lived in Vietnam back in the mid 90s which is why I very inconveniently have best friends living the other side of the world!

Still in bed here! 36 weeks pregnant and I'm feeling it. I didn't get to sleep until 4am (pregnancy insomnia🫣) then woke up every hour since😖 thank god for maternity leave, well I'm just doing 1 half day a week until he arrives. I'm just lying here feeling my little boy kicking around. He's our first baby and took over 4 years to conceive, I keep crying at how blessed I feel, and only 3 weeks until our scheduled c section and we've done it!🥹

I'm going to get up soon and do some laundry. May drive to primark for some new pjs, m&s for some gourmet snacks then come home for a relaxing bath and chill for the evening☺️

I have been to my dance class, called in to Sainsbury's for February's birthday cards, and the first load of washing on (of many).

DH and DS off to the footie this afternoon, and I'm going to the pub with a friend to watch the rugby 🇨🇮.

Home for whatever DH chooses to make for tea and a few Saturday evening wines 🍷

I feel like I'm purely dossing today, but tbf, so far...

• Checked my loft insulation for a potential issue & noticed at least 6 places the roof felt is damaged, daylight coming thru, wtf. situation to monitor, sigh.

• Mostly Defurred a jacket cat* liked to sleep on

• Added a lot of birdseed to feeders (*cat does not live with me)

• Swept, dishes, laundry, breakfast, planned today & tomorrow

Coming up : vacuuming, shopping errands, bag to charity shop, lunch & gaming with my son & some others this afternoon.

Good morning. I’ve fed the cats, showered and now I’m watching Gossip Girl.

I’ve got court prep to do, so I’ll work on that this afternoon. I expect my DP and I will have pasta bake tonight.

Been out with the dog and dropped ds at football. Will make pizza dough soon for dinner. Need to do some French revision.

I’m planning to finish Rivals later with some wine. Quite a boring Saturday really!

DC2 had a sleep over last night and is out for the day.

The other kids have had the usual swimming / library / run around the park.

We're home for lunch now and later I booked softplay with DC3.

Something easy for dinner as I'll need to run out and collect DC2 at some point. Think we'll just have pizza express pizzas, garlic bread and salad.

Then Young Sheldon and an early night.

Packing all my husband's clothes and his personal belongings.

We're not splitting up, he's just going to be working abroad for a couple of years.

@FayKnights Thank you, I really hope so! It's terrifying when they go. We've put used litter outside, will try the contents of the hoover too! It's put me off letting the others out if I'm honest 😔 Hope you have a lovely day x

Late to the thread today.
i had a bad day yesterday heartwise, so didn't get up early (do I ever?) and have been slowly pottering round the house.

The new cupboards are in the kitchen (imaginary cartwheels going on) and I was going to paint the insides, but I think not today.
I'm going to concentrate on getting ready for our Imbolc ritual, with some nice food to take, and some chilled fizz, and some bits and pieces for the ritual. It is to celebrate the first signs of Spring, with the ewes being “in milk” and the snowdrops everywhere.

We've just had a cold salmon brunch and DH is going to have steak tonight when I'm out. I'm glad he has taken to the air fryer, or else it would get messy!

Back again... I managed to get to sainsburys this morning, back in time to accept our grocery delivery, put that away, made Mr Dilemma's birthday cake (not filled or decorated yet) cleaned and tidied the dining room and extended the dining table, laid the table, sorted out all the dishes we will need tomorrow and had lunch! Leftovers from yesterday for me. I am now knackered and quite cold, so have gone to bed with 2 hot water bottles, my rechargeable electric hot water bottle and a heat pad for my feet. It's bliss being able to take my bra off... I only wear it in public nowadays - the under boob bit rubs against my mastectomy scar and it's just not comfortable. I only have one bra that is even remotely comfortable so I'm dreading the day it is worn out.

I'm going to have a couple of hours at least in my nice warm bed. When I get up I will fill and decorate Mr Dilemma's birthday cake, do a quick swish round of the kitchen, and cut the large Dr Oetker pizza we had delivered in half before we each put on our own choice of toppings. I will have bacon, onion and perhaps tuna. Mr Dilemma will have olives, anchovies and probably salami. Then we will veg out in front of the telly before I go up for a bath.

One day I will (may) be well enough to get a life and do some of the exciting things you lot do! Haven't been to a gig since I saw Pink in Liverpool around 13 years ago! That was amazing!
