Lighthearted - when would you know you were secure money wise ?

I was just thinking today I'd never ever buy branded green giant sweetcorn but I had some at my friend's and it was so nice.
If I could buy a brand and not even think about it , then I would know I was ok for cash.
I would previously have said being able to buy m and s knickers instead of Asda but the quality isn't all that these days ! 🤣

I remember being young, early 2000s, and bumped into my now SIL in the city Christmas shopping. She was getting a taxi home as she had loads of bags, I was on my way to the bus stop also laden down. It blew my mind that anyone could have enough money to get a taxi just because. Until that point I had only gotten a taxi if i was in full evening wear or after a big late night out, even then I would organise a share.
