Dress code for a gig

I’m 45 mum of 2 young girls and I’m going to a gig next week. Don’t know the band, never heard of them but my SIL has invited me. I love my SIL and will be a good opportunity to catch up (she lives around 2 hours away but we are meeting in the middle)

I haven’t been to a gig for donkeys years, I do have a bit of social anxiety, always think I look awful but I’ve worked so much on my confidence and my wardrobe.

Heres what I’m planning - jeans, Anine Bing T-shirt, adidas bold trainers and a grey wool coat

is this suitable for an indie type band?

I'm off to a gig tonight with dd1, in Nottingham, using public transport there & back, and walking to the venue. I'm currently debating whether I take a proper coat or not (it's a bar venue & they open after dd wanted to leave or I'd ring to see if they have a cloakroom).

I'm wearing wide leg jeans, trainers, pink top with long sleeves and (probably) hoodie. Plus small bag for gloves/power bank/small purse. I might pop a vest top under my long sleeved one...more in case of hot flushes mind you!

Bring a coat, you can always put it in the cloakroom, and it’s grey so will be a bit forgiving even if you don’t (you can always wash it). That other coat doesn’t look very warm. I think jeans and a t-shirt sounds fine, as people don’t tend to dress up. I’m not sure where you live, but depending how cold it is I’d probably go for boots over trainers (but I tend to get cold feet!).
