Moving van on narrow street

I'm moving house soon and it's the first time I've used professional movers. The new house is on a road that has plenty of off street parking, but if it is all in use then there the remaining roadway is really only wide enough for one car. I'm worried about a massive moving van blocking the road for most of the day - if there aren't many cars parked then the van will be able to tuck itself out of the way, but if the parking bays are full then we've no hope. Is this something for the movers to worry about or should I put a note through the new neighbours' doors? And if so, what should it say?

Rubbish diagram attached - basically there is parallel on street parking across the road from the new house, and a parking bay along the length of the houses on our side, where people park perpendicular to the road. If the bay is mostly clear then the van can pull in there lengthways, bit otherwise it will be getting in people's way all day 🙈

Get the parking suspended for the day via the council?

Oh, interesting idea. Would that not piss off the new neighbours? Is it something I would do or suggest to the movers?

Normal here to apply to the council and get the parking suspended in 3 bays for your removals. No one thinks anything of it. Otherwise what are you supposed to do? It’s preferable to blocking the road! Just check timings because you normally need to apply a few weeks in advance so the council have time to put up the notices.

Fab, thanks all. I haven't lived somewhere with only on street parking before so didn't know what was normal. Just checked and they need 10 days notice so plenty of time to get it sorted!
