Ordering lots of a (NA) drink and jars in one go

I've tried to find out through the site's help but I can't connect to a human. My question is about ordering lots of cartons of a juice I like that's on offer online. I have to buy quite a lot to get a discount, probably 30+ cartons. I can't imagine myself being able to lift a parcel like that; I'm not especially weak but not strong, either. Do they break down deliveries like this or just leave the delivery driver to handle a massive parcel?

I remember ordering 2 x 6 packs of chickpeas in glass jars from Amazon in the past and as the driver handed it to me he warmed me but I almost dropped it. This would not be in glass but would be much heavier. If I split the order down I don't get a discount and it wouldn't be better than getting it from the supermarket.

They can leave it in front of my house and I can unpack it but I'm also thinking if the driver and lifting weights etc.

What do you do if you bulk order liquids or glass jars etc.?

The max weight for parcels is usually 25kg. The driver isn't your responsibility so if you are happy to have them leave it on the doorstep I'm not seeing what the issue is?

Well, I definitely can't lift 25 kilos. That is excessive, surely.

I just want to know what happens if you order a lot.

If you order more than the maximum package weight I imagine they will send it in more than one package. The delivery person will either use a trolley to get to your door or make more than one trip between van and door. You can open the packages at your door. What do you think might go wrong?

Thanks, I've ordered over 25 cartons so that should be more than 25 kilos and they should split it down. I'm worried because of the time the Amazon driver handed the really heavy parcel to me and even though he warned me I nearly dropped it and it really was very heavy. It was plastered in stickers saying it was heavy but I suppose I underestimated it. @

People send huge heavy parcels all the time. I’ve received some that were easily 50 kg and the driver needed by help unloading. It will be fine. Drivers can either lift things or they will have tools to help them or they will ask you for help. As long as it’s dumped out the van at your house, you can open it and bring inside.

I normally ask them to just set it down near the door, then drag it in (once they've gone so they don't see my struggle Grin). I have a porch so have to get it over two raised thresholds, and worst case you can open it and unpack some until it's light enough to drag?
