Anyone use Tresemme?

Been using it for years, always good for my bleached and coloured hair but I have noticed that recently it isnt conditioning as well as it used to. Its harder to comb when wet and seems to have more snags in it when dry.

Anyone else found this? Any recommendations for a similar priced replacement?

Funny you should say that, I thought that yesterday and I've recently had my hair cut so brush usually glides through.

I'll finish the shampoo but go back to Wella fusion for the conditioner.

Ps: love the username btw, that film was great 😂

I've fairly recently got a new bottle and it seems better at conditioning. I think it has a blue label on it.

PyongyangKipperbang · 28/01/2025 19:55

I usually use the red one for coloured hair but I might try the blue one which is I think for moisturising. If that is no good I will try the Wella one, thanks for the recommendation.

Gave me awful dandruff and itchy scalp so I never went back.

Yes I've found this to be true too.
Unfortunately it didn't surprise me.
I can't think of many products out there that haven't changed in the last year or so.
Every company is cheapening out, giving you less and charging the more,or changing the formula or the ingredients and charging more.
I finally went with a salon quality spray on leave-in conditioner that smells amazing and works well if you only put it on the ends.

I have to admitt hat I did wonder if it was them using less of the conditioning ingredients to lower costs. Shot themselves in the foot then as I will just find something else.

What leave in conditioner is it?

The blue one seems OK.

I'm using it currently although I will go back to Redken when the bottles are empty.

I love tresemme. Make sure you aren’t using a sulphate free version of it tho because they are rubbish. I love the keratin smooth variant. That conditions beautifully. For me it’s the best shampoo and conditioner on the market and I used to work in hair so tried a LOT!!!

Shewaitsandwaits · 28/01/2025 20:27

The leave in conditioner is called Lavender Mint conditioning leave-in spray.
200 mL, John Paul Mitchell Systems.
It smelled so nice when when it was applied at the hairdressers that I splurged and bought a bottle.

Shewaitsandwaits · 28/01/2025 20:32

Sorry I forgot the word tea tree of which the oil is one of the ingredients.

HPandthelastwish · 28/01/2025 20:39

No, I used to love Tresemme when younger but I found that and Pantenne started leaving a film on my hair that felt kind of tacky and it would get really knotty.

I used Herbal Essence Daily Detox which leaves my hair lovely and smooth and shiny.
We've also reintroduced Johnsons Baby shampoo after DD used her baby sisters at her dad's house which also leaves hair soft and smelling great

They're also putting cheap, crappy lids on everything...

Most recently, I bought the Lidl fake, Cien. I use it as a leave in conditioner. Tresemme flakes off, looks like chronic dandruff, I’m not noticing this with Cien.

I tried the Aldi fake and it was ok but not as good as Tresemme but I might give it another go.
