What would you spend £100 on (not bills etc).

I was gifted £100 with the insistence that it is spent on a treat. I feel that a keepsake would be nice as it is from a favourite aunt who is close to the end.

A watch.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 24/01/2025 19:57

A nice fountain pen

Bobthepotplant · 24/01/2025 19:58

I'd probably buy a piece of jewellery. A pendant/necklace or really nice silver bangle. Depends if you wear jewellery though. Sorry to hear your Aunt is close to the end x

DoAWheelie · 24/01/2025 19:58

Personally I'd get a couple of video games and 2-3 audiobooks. But I'm not a fan of having more "stuff" in the house and prefer to spend on entertainment.

Philandbill · 24/01/2025 19:59

A nicely framed picture (print not original art).

Wishboneswishes · 24/01/2025 20:01

Etsy do some lovely personalised jewellery pieces which might be nice? Also quite inexpensive so a bit left over for a nice afternoon tea or something?

CloseYourRingStress · 24/01/2025 20:01

I’d buy a Trudon candle or some really nice body scrub or top up my cinema membership tickets.

Frapbap · 24/01/2025 20:04

Some florists do very nice dried bouquets, perhaps one of those with her favourite flowers or colours in? And there'd be some change for maybe a pair of earrings you could wear and think of her.

Cynic17 · 24/01/2025 20:04

£100 doesn't go very far, but maybe a theatre ticket. With a glass of wine in the interval!

Cynic17 · 24/01/2025 20:05

Oh sorry - it needs to be something to keep.
A framed print?
A couple of hardback art books?

Middlemarch123 · 24/01/2025 20:09

A silver locket with photos of you and aunt in, something you can cherish.

AlexisP90 · 24/01/2025 20:11

A personalised piece of jewellery

MigGril · 24/01/2025 20:12

A lego set a really nice one.

Failing that I'd buy some expensive earrings.

OldTinHat · 24/01/2025 20:19

My DM gave me £100 for Christmas so I could get my stupid curly hair cut 😊

SquigglePigs · 24/01/2025 20:29

There is a local artist to me who does beautiful pictures. We have a few already so I'd either buy another one (or put the money towards one) or buy a nice piece of jewelry.

Tisfortired · 24/01/2025 20:30

An Olend bag and a nice lunch out by myself.

millfree · 24/01/2025 20:31

Luxury skincare, Art books, Vinyl, ceramics that kind of thing I guess.

Thighdentitycrisis · 24/01/2025 20:34

A tree

Luddite26 · 24/01/2025 20:41

I love gardening so it would be a good specimen shrub or Rose possibly with her name or nice pot I could look at and think of her. I have some wonderful named roses - Freddie Mercury, Hannah Cockcroft, Queen Elizabeth😄

MaryGreenhill · 24/01/2025 20:45

A bottle of Jo Malone Pommegranate noir ❤️

netflixfan · 24/01/2025 20:45

A beautiful pair of shoes which you would not normally treat yourself to.

BlueRobins · 24/01/2025 20:51

A model, but one you build, eg like airfix/ warhammer 40k etc

Snowmanscarf · 24/01/2025 20:52

A nice bracelet or piece of art.

frozendaisy · 24/01/2025 20:57

What do you like using OP?
Do you like making cocktails? Then a silver cocktail maker/ice bucket
Do you like jewellery? Then I am sure you know as have browsed at stuff before
Or a teapot?
Or a picture frame?
Or a carved wooden fruit bowl?
Or powder puff holder?
Or really good garden tools built to last, a spade, rake?

NordicwithTeen · 24/01/2025 20:59

Books, a magazine subscription and a plant/house or outdoor would do me!
