Help! Clothes for teenage DS

My DS is 17 and autistic. He isn't into sports or any particular music. He is autistic and I still buy his clothes as he isn't really interested in them.
I have always bought him H&M plain tshirts/sweatshirts etc (cheap basics) but would like to buy him some better quality clothing as he is very neat and tidy so I know things will last.
He doesn't really have any friends that i can ask so what are young adults wearing these days?

Basic but less so than H&M is Zara.
Middle range would be COS. The basics form H&M such as chinos or plain t-shirts, look nice with a jumper from Polo Ralph Lauren

River Island? Some nice cargo trousers and polo shirts.

Uniglo for basics and plain things.
Branded stuff seems to vary by area with teenagers as to what's in fashion and what's not.

I agree with River Island. They have some nice stuff in there and Zara.

My son is also autistic and has zero interest in clothes. He wears the same primark jeans and plain t shirt over and over.

For quality look at Uniqglo for t shirts, hoodies & joggers. In terms of branded ds actually likes converse but I think Nike & Adidas are better quality. Vans t shirts are also popular. Fred Perry Polo shirts seem to be making a comeback here (!) Ralph Lauren jumpers are fantastic quality and feel nice to wear.

If he likes jeans you can;t go wrong with Levi. If he likes joggers then Nike, Addias or other similar sports brands. If you have the budget Represent are very in at the moment and are lovely thick quality hoodies.

For shoes all the young people seem to wear one of Converse, Vans, Air Force 1's or Addidas Sambas/Gazelles/Spezials

Be aware of how things feel. I bought all of my DS's clothes until his early 20s as he really wasn't bothered but he definitely had preferences as to how they felt. He still would rather have plain T-shirts, hoodies and joggers. His idea of smart is black jeans. Now he's working and shopping for himself, he tends to buy things he likes in bulk- 24 pairs of identical boxers has his girlfriend most bemused!

My 17 yr old loves clothes and mixes high brand designer clothes with Uniqlo, Zara, Nike, and H&M
