You are a masseuse and you realise you need to do a fart in the middle of a massage?
I think questions like this really
emphasise why I can’t relax during one 😂 I’ve just had one, it was really nice but the whole time I kept thinking what would happen if they needed to do a massive rip roarer. Just do it, apologise and move on? Leave the room? Bit unprofessional to do that? Hope that if you just do it while massaging that it’s not a stinker but have a cover story up your sleeve just in case about a faulty diffuser?
Why can’t I just switch my brain off and relax and enjoy these fucking experiences 😂

Why particularly if you are a masseuse? Surely it's no different from any awkward time at work, such as in a meeting/with a client. Most people would excuse themselves and go to the toilet.

Oh god I really hope no one thinks this is a trolling thread of any kind, I’ve been here years!

Just because I was having a massage so that’s what I was thinking about.
in other situations like being in a meeting yes you can excuse yourself and leave the room but I always thought that was bad etiquette when having a massage. I mean better than the alternative I guess!

Exactly - it's not ideal etiquette to leave the room during a meeting/client interaction in any circumstance, but it's better than the alternative so that's what most people would do. Don't over think it.

Has anyone ever actually successfully excused themselves and walked away to leave the room without actually farting?! I know I haven't! And to be fair, I haven't given much thought to professional people needing to fart! Maybe excessively windy people don't take on those kind of jobs? Sadly, it's a shame the taxi driver I had the other week hadn't chosen a different profession 🤮

BobbyBiscuits · 23/01/2025 13:06

I'd be more concerned if I was the client as you can't exactly jump up and run out the room midway through?!
I would say leaving the room is ideal if you are the massage therapist. I'm sure Enya will have to forgive you?! 🤣

BobbyBiscuits · 23/01/2025 16:57

@MoonWoman69 let the fart 'sail away, sail away, sail away...' 🤣

MoonWoman69 · 23/01/2025 17:22

@BobbyBiscuits that's exactly as I've just sung it in my head!!! 🤣🤣🤣
