For me its:

Clearly, I enjoy people falling over and/or getting injured. But also makes me laugh.

What about you?

I can’t find it anywhere but there was a video of a little boy running up the stairs farting like mad that was very funny

The lady who had had general anaesthesia and was convinced they'd taken her legs and given her a mermaid tail. I howl every time, especially when it pans to the nurse trying not to crack!

or the teen in the car with her mum after having her wisdom teeth removed,

I can't actually believe you find that helicopter rescue funny. That is a 74 year old injured woman probably in pain and frightened, so severely injured she needs a helicopter resuce, being hoisted all alone to a helicopter. She is spinning so fast that as the voice over says she will likely have passed out. Imagine that - then coming round in that situation. How terrified would you be. Imagine that was you or your grandmother or your mother. Honestly it makes me feel ill watching it as I just imagine being a relative of that person and can't imagine how anyone can find it funny.

This on the other hand is mildly amusing:

Of course I understand how horrible the situation is. But the visual image of her spinning and getting faster and faster is funny to me. If you're going to criticise people for what they find funny, there are plenty of other videos here of people falling flat on their face or arse and one very distressed young woman who thinks her legs are gone when she comes round from anaesthetic. Why are they funny? People laugh at different things. You don't make a decision to laugh at something. It's a knee jerk reaction. And often people laugh at things they know they shouldn't. Surely you must have come across this before?

or Rudy Ayoub, the kidnap one - I didn’t even realise he was playing all the different parts - ‘don’t worry habibi’ has passed into our family lexicon, although we are not an easily influenced family, sometimes these motifs appeal

happy viewing everyone

Agree.
Hate po-faced people deciding what is and isn't funny.

SirQuintusAurelius · 24/01/2025 20:34

@Mookie81 Hate po-faced people deciding what is and isn't funny.

No one is deciding what is or isn't funny. No one has the capacity to decide for other people.

I said in that particular case of a 74 year old injured woman so seriously injured that she needed air lift rescue and the stretcher spinning so fast that she passed out that I (that's me!) could not believe that anyone finds it funny. If you find it funny, that's your perogative. I think it's pretty sick to find that funny because I think of my own grandmother or any elderly woman in that situation and it makes me feel upset as to how scared, alone and in pain they must be spinning like that in the air attached to a helicopter. People laughing at a relative in that situation is worse. You may think that's po faced. You are entitled to think that. I am entitled to think someone who finds that funny is pretty sick. I doubt they'd find it funny if that was their grandmother, mother or child.
