Going rate for a cleaner please?

We haven’t had a cleaner for a while although I had someone a few months ago who charged £25 an hour, which seems expensive to me.

We’re in the South East, but not London. What’s the going rate in your opinion or area please? Thanks!

I’m north west and pay £20 an hour, but the cleaner is contracted by a company, so she won’t get all of that. To be honest, I think that is expensive and am looking for someone who works for themselves and will charge less!

Anywhere from £17 - £30 per hour depending on your requirements, products used, business overheads etc.

Thanks for all these posts, very helpful. I think I'm going to start by offering £18 an hour and see whether that gets me someone!

Perhaps enquire as to their price? Then work to a shortlist within your budget
