Nice hotel or restaurant to celebrate a 21st birthday?

My dd will be 21 later this year and I would love to take her and immediate family to celebrate in London. I don’t want it to be anywhere too “old” for her but equally special enough that she always remembers the occasion. So I’m seeking some nice suggestions for places that may be suitable? Thanks.

For the £60pp budget then Six by Nico might be a good option? 6 course tasting menu which changes every 6 weeks, so the theme/menu would depend on when you are going

This is a Jason Atherton restaurant which does really good value set lunch or early dinner menus, the dining room is stunning and the service is excellent (should give you the special occasion vibe!) It’s also really central so could go for rooftop cocktails/shopping/theatre before or after.

Also second any of the Big Mamma places - they are very insta-friendly and if you tell them it’s a special celebration I’m sure they’ll try to put you on a good table.

Thank you so much, I’ll have a look.

More thoughtful suggestions and ideas, thank you so much. I’m now wondering if a nice afternoon tea somewhere special would be better??

I think this is a great idea

i would suggest

  • National Portrait Gallery restaurant
  • Dean St Townhouse
  • Swan at the Globe
  • Ham House

all nice afternoon teas and easily within budget

I think if you browse afternoon teas in London you will see different themed ones and you might find one that particularly appeals to your daughter

I would find that more fun than a dinner tbh

stepson of similar age really enjoyed being taken to Mr Foggs for a cocktail if that’s an option
