Emergency dentist question?

She opened a bottle of drink yesterday and ended up cracking her back tooth, pieces of teeth were coming out. Anyway, got a filling in today but she will have to have the whole tooth out at some point so got a referral. Tonight she was eating even though dentist told her to eat other side and filling has come out? Is it an emergency or can or wait

Who is she? I had a filling that came out and it was fine for a week or two until I saw the dentist. You could make a salt water solution to rinse around the mouth to keep it clean.

I called emergency and they said they would do it for 50 tomorrow morning. I’m actually going to wait until her usual dentist opens at 9 and get her in after school. He said ideally as soon as possible

Baby tooth or adult tooth?
Why did she need a referral? Will she not cooperate for Local anaesthetic for the extraction with your own dentist?
Depending on where you are in the country, you could be waiting a LONG time for an assessment appointment at the referral centre OP.

That’s right, she is anxious. Her adhd doesn’t help so the dentist who we have known for years knows my daughter has quite severe sensory issues with everything, including brushing, thankfully working together she does manage to keep her teeth as well as possible, the dentist is reluctant to go ahead with doing the extraction herself so has made a referral
