Anyone for a round of "who the heck am I thinking of"

I'm trying to remember the name of an actress who always plays a kind of snobby/WASP type woman. She has long blonde very straight hair. Her nose is quite distinctive, very thin but it always makes me thinking of a botched nose job cause (I think) the nostrils are quite pinched. I think she's in light comedy films, like Four Weddings or Three Men. Never a lead actress and it's not Holland Taylor, Jennifer Coolidge, or Christine Baranski.

Oh Kelly Rutherford is an excellent shout

Delphiniumandlupins · 14/01/2025 00:12

Is her nose like Joanne Froggatt's? (I got a bit mesmerised by it in North Shore recently.)

Julieanne Moore.

The wonderful Gina McKee?

Gina is wonderful but not remotely like the OP's description.

Moveoverdarlin · 14/01/2025 00:21

Sara Crowe. She was in Four Weddings, pinched little nose and often plays posh English parts. She’s 58 now.

Pieceofpurplesky · 14/01/2025 00:23

@pinkdelight I was thinking out of the proverbial box! She does have a (very beautiful) pinched nose and is delightfully thin. Hair colour is fluid in acting and she is in that sort of film

Not the point at all, but Judy Greer pops up in everything and is one of my favourite actors.

None of those so far, but thank you. I THINK she's posh American, but I can imagine her being in a Hugh Grant film so she may well be a posh English woman (or at least play one). She's not as famous as most of the people mentioned, but is an older actress now.

Haven't rtft but is it Fiona Shaw?

RumNotRun · 14/01/2025 00:44

A younger Toni Collette is the closest I can come, but I've now looked at too many photos of her to remember what "my" original actress looked like.
