That's hardly analogous. They are different things.

Children generally don't give a crap if the 30cm deep kiddies pool is at Centre Parcs or at the local pool...

My children 100% prefer the pools at centre parcs over our local leisure centre. They can spend hours splashing around and going in the slides at centre parcs and it helps that is warm enough to do so! Maybe you live close to a very exciting leisure centre that is also warm enough to spend a couple of hours.

Except lots of local pools don't have facilities for a child who is wheelchair dependant and needs hoisting and CP do.

My kids love it. It's easy and they know what to expect.
We stick to paying under 500 though wouldn't pay more.

They have also enjoyed haven and cheap cottages by the beach but we find it more hassle and less freeing. Having to drive and everything being less set up for them.

Heard great things about the euro center parcs maybe look at those If you'd be effectively paying the same price.

I’m thinking of going maybe next year but definitely during term time. A 3 bedroom lodge is coming up with £1299, for 4 nights, that’s including a sauna and hot tub. Outside school holidays.

Is this good value or expensive? It’s the Woburn one.

Also does the cost matter how many people go, I mean the lodge can sleep 6 people. If only 4 go in that same lodge it’s the same price? What is included ? Just the swimming pool?

vincettenoir · 15/04/2025 08:42

@Paul2023 the price is for the lodge so you can have as many guests as you like up to the maximum capacity.

Ok thanks, so whoever goes gets use of the swimming pool included too?

So it’s basically that price which includes the accommodation and pool? Anything else included ?

Is the cost I mentioned worth it ? I’ve never been so can’t compare it to anything.

vincettenoir · 15/04/2025 11:16

The pool, playgrounds and soft plays are included. I mean whether it’s worth it or not is subjective. Depends how many of you are going; how much the setting and activities will appeal to you guys; your level of disposable income etc.

That’s very good value for a lodge with a hot tub.

I don't suppose anyone has a coupon code for centre parks to share?

I don’t think that is a thing.

minnienono · 15/04/2025 17:04

@Paul2023

I’ve just booked a lodge elsewhere, £490 for the week including a hot tub, term time. If you aren’t using the pool it’s certainly better to go elsewhere

Lol. They don't need to discount.

Question: is the bike rental per day, or for your entire stay?? £29 a day seems a bit extortiane for one day, let's face it

🤔

Ermm, is this your first day hearing of CP? The whole place is extortionate.
Of course it's per day! (Unless you hire for a week).

Just wait until you see how much they charge for EVERYTHING, ....Den Building...£54, indoor climbing £30+, pedalo £18 for 30mins, pottery painting £30....

User0311 · 15/04/2025 21:40

No it isn’t worth it, we have been 3 times before our primary age children started school which was great. Now we have to pay for school holiday time it is not worth the price increase. I’m glad we experienced it but we won’t again. We went to Disney last year which was cheaper!

grimmeeper · 16/04/2025 11:41

I did end up going in the February . It was £800 for 4 nights . I’m glad we went and did enjoy it but won’t rush back based solely on the price . I had a look at the ‘tree house’ lodges whilst there and out of interest looked at how much they were during the summer holidays, £10500.00 😂

I think that's the cost for your whole stay.
