Do you let your guests tidying up?

When you’ve had food and drink?

I would say the majority say no when someone offers to help.

One time my friend started washing up when I was doing something else and it slightly irked me as she used the wrong items 😂 - (obviously I was very grateful but I had said no to the cleaning and she never lets me clean at hers)

To an extent - clearing the table or taking glasses through is one thing, but not stacking the dishwasher or anything (because that is a very precise science in our house).

I once had to stop a house guest reorganising my fridge - totally unacceptable! 😄

We tend to all muck in, never been any issues.

OMG - a friend once had a foreign guest she didn’t know very well, not only reorganise her fridge, but start throwing things out!

I prefer if they don’t, beyond maybe bringing a few plates over from the table.

I hate people washing up for me, and I don’t want to feel obliged to wash up in their house either.

I love hosting, and just want my guests to relax, chill, enjoy themselves ….as long as they clear off within 24 hours.
