We're on holidays at the moment in a nice resort. Our room is on the pool level and we have a terrace with a glass pool fence overlooking the pool. There is a very clear no bomb diving sign, as well as a no diving sign as the water in the deep end isn't deep enough to dive safely. All week kids have been climbing on the walls around the pool and bomb diving into the pool which splashes water all over us if we're sitting on our terrace. A few times I've pointed out the no bomb diving sign, even though kids (and adults) are standing next to it when they jump in. This afternoon there has been a particularly large teenager doing it. I was having a snooze on the terrace and the sound together with the water woke me up. I let it go a few times thinking he'd give up eventually, but on the fourth go I politely pointed out the no bomb diving sign. The teen's dad responded very aggressively telling me to get inside and mind my own business. I just pointed to the sign again and said it wasn't my rule, it was the resort's rule. The teen and his family have gone inside, but now some of the other families are actively encouraging their kids to climb up the walls and bomb dive right next to me, and looking at me for my reaction. I just can't understand why people have to be so rude. Why do some rules not apply to some people, and they don't care who they inconvenience?
