Advice on DS making money on tiktok

DS is making lots of money on tiktok. He is still doing A levels. It is not something I am familiar with at all. I have obviously given the warning about his posts being online forever. Looking for advice/experience on this situation. Also advice for having a teenager earning so much money. He is not spending it but plans to invest/trade so could lose it. Thank you

Please stop referring to social media / content creation as 'not a real job'. It might not involve wearing a shit suit and sitting in an office 9-5, but like other jobs in media industries it is still very much a job.

you can get management companies to help, he should know how to get in contact with them if he’s doing well.

@tiktokmoney If you make more than £1,000 a year then you need to register as self-employed and complete a tax return, even if you aren't earning enough to actually pay any tax.

If he doesn't register, he could find himself with a very large fine.

Kudos to him for his enterprise though.

Wow! How amazing for him and you to know that he's securing himself some money for the future.
Like others have said, I'd probably chat it through with an accountant. He'll need to complete a self assessment form each year to pay his tax x
