Opinions. These as a party bag ?

Doing my dca party in Feb. A whole reception class. 30 kids plus 6 family all age 4 to 6 years

Usually I've just done sweetcones, the works £10 for 10 books ,Then buy a paper bag to put in a slice of cake.

Thinking price wise. The books I'd have to buy 4 bundles £40
The cones £3 , sweets for that amount of kids probably £25 maybe less., paper bags for cake are £2.99 for 10 in our local party shop so again £12

I thought of doing these as they would be the bag that holds the cake , and it's a gift in itself instead of a book or party bag tat, maybe add a pack haribo / dairy milk little bar?

Please note I'd actually buy these from The Works as they do proper material ones.

Kids don't want books. Parents might prefer them.

No seeds either.

Your bag looks great, OP

My kids are teenagers now but my best ever party bag idea was a lucky dip. I got a big bag then wrapped up 20 gifts of whatever the number, lots of shredded paper to make it a 'dip'. All were cheap things like bubble wands, Frisbees. Went down really well and no need for cake as well

These look great. Reusable in the sense that they can keep their bag creation and transport their stuff around the house/to and from the car etc.

Stick in the cake and a little chocolate bar and you’re good to go. If you want to avoid plastic stuff, there are lots of paper/card-based games that could be recycled after use.

For goodness sake, it's some fun for the kids to go home with, why all the 'don't do it'
Op i think they're great, my kids used to love using what they'd receive in their bags or reading the books. It's exciting for them.
Go for it, why take away something simple when they are little such a short amount of time.

Gawd I went over the top for my daughters parties!
Mini fairy garden one year - terracotta pot, seeds, little bag of moss, glitter, tiny mushrooms and a handmade sign
Teddy bears another (found a bargain of ex stock build a bears for £15 for 10…got some stuffing and tada cheap bears!)
Bucket and spade set with some seaside themed playing cards and notebooks
Unicorn themed bits and bobs - hair bands, pens, notebook etc

Now she mostly has a couple friends over for sleepovers. So I get bits and pieces off Temu - like pjs, key rings, little bags, hairbands, T-shirts and then get spa stuff for them to have a mini spa afternoon. The girls love it as they get to take it home with them.

I’ve also done the landfill plastic tat for my son who’s 6 years older. Haven’t we all?

Thank you. My sil has said the works do the bags that are more material than that shiny type like my picture. So I'm going to pop down tomorrow and have a look.
