I don’t know who anyone is, anymore

Does anybody else not understand popular culture?

I do a bit of MN and I look at the Daily Mail online (please stay with me), and sometimes I watch programmes like Strictly and Masterchef and … I don’t know who any one is.

What can I do to understand this better? How do these people become so important?

If you read the mail online then you should know who they all are as they constantly post about these people. I don’t watch the programmes they are in, but know a fair bit about them

I don’t know them as I don’t watch TV / read gossip social media sites. My life is not poorer for not knowing. Forget about it! Life is too short to care about these people.

I wouldn't go near the Mail on line if you paid me so I'm even less likely to be familiar with these people whom I've never heard of!
