Lighthearted (or not as the case may be!) - what epitaph do you fancy?

"An absolute marvel with a mango", just to perplex passing dog-walkers, meanderers and other visitors 😀

'It was me... I ate all the cheese..'

‘Here lies Ice Bear. Died believing that Home Alone is not a Christmas movie, it’s a film about bad parenting that just happens to be set at Christmas.’

My best friend and I have this argument about Home Alone every single year and I’ve told her if I die first I’m putting it on my headstone in her honour 😆

So far so good.

Remember me as you pass by
As you are now so once was I
As I am now so will you be
Prepare yourself to follow me

Still dreaming of a white Christmas….
inside joke between me and my best friend or “don’t worry I’ll be in work on Monday”

shiverm · 04/01/2025 16:58

Ohh I like that one @RubberyChicken

I wrote a poem about a wee mouse that was killed in a pub I worked in and it broke my heart. I read it at a writing class and a Swedish guy asked permission to put it on his grave! An honour. I think he's still alive though.

"Let's have a tidy up."

I say it about 50 times a day so why stop once I'm dead?

"Better luck next time"

'He was never dull'
On my Father's grave stone.

Quoted since in a few books on Sussex churches.

I did it all twice, just to be sure and depart with zero regrets.
