I fell over today

As the title says I tripped going up a kerb and smacked down on the concrete, whacked my hands and the side of my leg. I'm absolutely fine but bloody hell it hurt!! It must have looked dramatic as someone stopped their car and checked I was OK and also helped me up.
Falling as an adult is horrid (and very embarrassing!) - you see kids running, falling and often jumping up and brushing themselves off! I had to sit there for a bit before managing to get (or be helped) up.

N.B. I'm 50 so I still class today's incident as falling over, not ' having a fall'. When does the latter come into play?!

It's horrible op I had a nasty fall in the summer picking my children up from school tripped over and went down like a sack of spuds but not before doing the embarrassing trying to stop yourself staggering fall and then grazed my hands and cut my knee pretty badly I'm 37 and the shock had me holding back tears whilst laughing 🙈 because my DD was upset I'd hurt myself. Thankfully only a few people saw that happen.
Hope you're ok now and feel better soon.

I fell over last year and it really shook me up
My sympathies

Remember tripping over a kerb and going down on my face. I had to collect my daughter from primary school and went in there looking like I had fought an electric sander. Coming off my bike either on ice or by accident is equally as bad. Little or no warning and BANG you are down and it hurts

I fell over on Saturday. I'd taken DH for physio and he tripped up the kerb walking round to the passenger side of the car. I panicked as he's waiting for a hip replacement and I was worried what damage he'd done* so I ran round and tripped up the same bloody kerb! My knee is really painful and doesn't bend properly so I'm hoping I haven't buggered it up completely - last time I fell over I broke my foot in 3 places!

*DH was fine apart from a bruised hand and the shock of seeing me flying towards him!

I often fall over. I'm dyspraxic and I also fall over more when my mental health is poor. I don't know how this affects it, but it definitely does. Both my knees are purple with scars and I sprained my hand last time it happened.

Poor you.
I fell over the day after Boxing Day. Rolled my ankle. Been unable to walk since, hobbling about.

This is really interesting to me
I've been extremely stressed lately and have fell down the stairs, fell off a stepping stool and completely missed a sitting stool and just sat on thin air and fell to the floor.
Maybe it's stress related?

I fell on my Christmas work night out in front of all my colleagues Blush
Wasn't even drinking, just missed a step in the dark, cut my knee.
I have Adhd and associated spatial awareness issues. Yes I'm that friend squishing you into the wall/road/bushes as we walk!

Sympathies to everyone whose had a fall. I'm 3 weeks into recovery from tripping in a dance class and ending up with a minor displacement of one of the radial bones by my elbow. Annoyingly the elbow doesn't hurt but the stiffness and lack of mobility round my wrist is really giving me some gyp. Fracture clinic says it's a 6-12 week recovery. Oh joy.

I've always been a faller. My late dad used to say that I'd fall over a two bob bit on the floor!!

I fell in my garden after giving blood - felt lightheaded and went down like a sack of potatoes.
I ended up just lying there for about 20mins as I just couldn’t get up. Eventually rescued but it left me feeling very shaken up for a week.

I regularly fall over since my cerebellum was damaged. I rarely go out without a supporting arm to hold or one of the painted wooden staffs I've made! Falling hurts your body and your pride! Last week I fell down a Badger sett when out with the dogs, the week before, I fell off a kerb but my DC grabbed me!

down a badger set? I hope you are ok but i have this weird image of you going head first down a sett coming face to face with a family of badgers sat round a table having tea! sorry told you i was weird!
